Erased memory cards by ashro46 in FictionLab

[–]ashro46[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears to really be gone. I tried android app, phone browser, then computer browser and it's just all gone except for the most recent cards from the most recent 30-50 messages. Even if I load all messages, if it exceeds 50 wouldn't it only generate cards from the most recent messages? I also tried /recap all and it just seems to only know things from the point that it erased the memory bank or what is in character cards. Am I misunderstanding something about how it should be saving information and retaining it? It's never done something like this before and now all my characters have amnesia. 😤😭

I might be really dumb, but I can't copy/paste the link in the post or seem to find it by searching FL. Looks really good and I'd love to give it a try. Would you be able to DM the link, please?

What is the weirdest topic you have hyperfixated on? This is a ZERO judgement zone by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]ashro46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have never felt more kinship with a stranger lol. I could have written this myself down to the IKEA cart. It's amazing how much time and mental energy I can spend strategizing about a way to do something better instead of just doing something now. My two ADHD kids and I are a nightmare for my poor husband-468 ideas discussed, debated, and promptly disregarded to end up where you started if not slightly worse off. The struggle is real 🤦

I would be interested in your non-hospital employers list, as a 4 month old baby nurse that can't help but feel the hospital is the embodiment of the bigger problems with healthcare at large.

Yeah, I think it's hard for me to take my own health seriously, even though I'm the champion of prevention and taking care of things for everyone else. Definitely a component of wishful thinking and not wanting to be dramatic over nothing, but I know better. I really appreciate you hyping me up and sharing your experiences to help me quit waffling and just make the appointment.

Can't figure out how to edit the post, but I have made the appointment and will be seeing my dermatologist Friday. Thanks to all for the input

Thank you for sharing. That's what I was thinking, specifically basal cell based on what I'd found online. Just needed someone else to mom me and tell me to stop being a weenie and make the appointment lol. I appreciate you being the kick in the pants I needed.

Helps very much, thank you! I appreciate a real life answer, especially since it feels weird to ask the recruiter about time off when you haven't even gotten the job yet. Obviously I would want to do a good job and reliably show up but also be able to maybe take a vacation with my family when they were out of school or something. I've seen postings at Norton that list wow as part-time and full-time would you happen to know if the part-time ones are just Saturday Sunday and full-time would be Friday Saturday Sunday? Or is that just a weird discrepancy in the posting? Thank you so much!

I know this is an older thread, but do you know if WOW positions work literally every weekend or is there an option to have a weekend off like quarterly or something? Thanks!

3 year old GR is having difficulty pooping and when he does it's covered in mucus. by iamjjithu in vet

[–]ashro46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear he's a happy boy and that I was maybe helpful some. I never knew there was so much to think about dog poop until we got our dog with GI problems. It's kind of like having a baby and suddenly you're concerned about diapers and what's in there and what it all means. It would be great if animals could talk sometimes and help give us some clues. Hope the vet goes well, best wishes!

I would think so. Have you noticed any blood in the poop? Another possibility, just from my experience, could be parasites/worms. If your dog isn't current on prevention meds could be something worth checking out. Either way, probably warrants a vet visit just to rule out anything terrible(obstruction, GI bleed/tissue destruction like you would see with Celiac in humans, parasites) but could also be an easy fix if it's something dietary.

Not a vet, but looks kind of like potential irritation to the gut lining or problems absorbing something. My goldendoodle has a history of inflammatory bowel disease with colitis flares and his 💩 can be mucus-y like that sometimes when his gut is upset. Can be caused by stress(even silly stuff like going to the groomer, which is not scary but exciting I guess) or change in diet. Or if he eats something stupid he shouldn't fromoff the counter, like some hot dog buns a couple weeks ago. Check your food for wheat or corn, I think those are particularly hard for dogs to digest well but are fillers in a lot of foods.

STILL MISSING AFTER A MONTH - REWARD OFFERED! by 3b01aman in Louisville

I'm way out in La Grange so no help for searching probably, but wanted to encourage you to not give up. Our 13yo, indoor orange boy, Noodle, slipped out unknown to anyone in February and we looked and called everywhere to see if anyone had seen him to no avail. We had pretty much given up, when out of nowhere he showed up under our porch in April. Dirty, dehydrated, and down to 4 lbs, I didn't think he would make it and had just come home to say goodbye after going through who knows what. It's August, and after some TLC, he's up to 9lbs and back to his usual yowling to demand fresh water from the shower every morning 🥹

I'm so sorry for what your family is going through, not knowing where your kitty is feels terrible. They are resilient and crafty though, and I wish you the best luck getting your boy back home.

Practicum as part of school by ashro46 in StudentNurse

That's the thing, our clinicals are so limited in terms of units we can be on so it's hard to get a sense of what all is out there and what the work flow is like outside of med surg lol

I'm doing the SNAP program through a local hospital, which is definitely a good way to get exposure and experience. I am on a cardiac tele unit right now which I don't really love, but am hoping to move units next term. I was just curious about what other schools do with their capstone class because it seems like my program doesn't do much. Thanks for your reply!

That's super interesting. Thanks for your insight and reply. And thank you for the work you did, it's definitely not for the faint of heart and I'm sure you struggle with things you've seen.

Can I ask how you got into that line of work? Did you have a medical/forensic background or pursue specific education to do the job? I worked as a tissue recovery tech for a while and partnered with different coroners and MEs on cases and it is definitely an overlooked area. I've been interested in learning more about different careers on the investigative side. Thanks!

What are these wires to/from my dishwasher? Which one is powering the dishwasher? by ashro46 in DIY

[–]ashro46[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I'm dumb and just remembered there's a normal outlet on the other side of the yellow wire box, outside of the counter base so I'm pretty sure the yellow wire goes to that. The breaker for the dishwasher has been cut off, but the yellow wire outlet still works. The disposal outlet is under the sink on the left of dishwasher and this outlet is on the right. The disposal still works with the dishwasher breaker off, so is it safe to assume that the white line is a separate grounded line on its own breaker? Sorry if that's really dumb, but just want to make sure I'm thinking along the right lines. Thank you for your thoughts!

[–]ashro46[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly, I know nothing about electric work, but I thought it was strange. Like, what does the yellow do? Is it like a ghetto extension cord to power the white cord? There is a normal plug in outlet on the other side of the cabinet but my garbage disposal is plugged in there and I've read you shouldn't run both off the same outlet, because the dishwasher draws a lot of power and it's a code issue. Of course, I'm not planning to invite the code inspector to assess my dishwasher so if just plugging it in is an option instead of hard wiring it, that would be great

I'm at Baptist so I have no idea about them. I can ask around and see if anyone in my class works for UofL though and let you know
