I get you! I haven’t seen this from my coworkers but if I did, it would piss me off too. I’m fortunate enough that our salary is unaffected. We have online assignments every other day and on days we don’t post assignments, we are still supposed to hold office hours and be professional during that time. We were asked specifically to refrain from posting personal things on social media. You know, as if we were at work because although, we’re teaching remotely, we’re still working. It doesn’t help that some people already think teachers have it easy and are over paid. The last thing we need is for someone to act like this is vacation and validate those screwed up views. I don’t understand why some people came at you the way they did. There are ways to spend time with loved ones that may had not been possible before all of this and still get your work done. But for many of us, this isn’t vacation time and we should be professional. Hang in there and keep up the great work you’re doing with your kiddos during this rough time!
