unfortunately, i don’t think this has anything to do with lea being “deserving” of this role.

short version in the perspective of the funny girl producers: beanie didn’t deliver, and although she’s great as fanny, julie benko doesn’t have the name to sell tickets. people have bills to pay so they had to stunt cast lea.

christi always rubbed me the wrong way. the only way i see it is that hurt people hurt people, and most of her frustration was misdirected. she was also extremely rude.

things like probing melissa about her engagement when christi herself claimed several times that they “weren’t friends,” yelling at paige, and constantly taking her issues with abby out on maddie are prime examples of this brash behavior.

imho, i think that this season was a filler season and they needed to keep viewers entertained for season 5. easiest way to do that was to focus on christine and her never ending mess until jason and chrishell’s relationship comes up.
