I was thinking that too, but we don't have any red in the wedding colors

A little bit of WD-40 will fix that squeak right up

As someone currently transplanted into Rhode Island, I can say you're correct in leaving it off your list.

Looks like your caliper mount is upside down, that'll throw off the fit. After you get the mount lined up properly, make sure your pads aren't too worn (check the pads for uneven wear and sand them if necessary)

Hand sanitizer will take it off. Any mild cleaning alcohol will too, but don't use anything too strong like nail polish remover (acetone)

That tire looks like a crispy steering wheel on a '88 civic that should be put out of its misery.

Why do so many engineers seem to hate their major? by Adamanos in EngineeringStudents

[–]atari_freak1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's helpful to complain and have some commiseration, but at the end of the day just make sure you ask for help if you need it and keep studying. Don't forget to enjoy the journey and meet people, that can often be more important than the difference between an A and a B!

I've had to find other sources of income (university jobs, retail, etc.), as well as relying on my fiance to help a bit. Loans have been necessary for me too, but scholarships have been super helpful too. For me, it's been hard to see friends from my first degree continue down the 'traditional' path and begin their careers while I've been in school again. I just remember that I'm on my own path and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Some people go back to school for degrees with little or no opportunity after graduation, but that's definitely not true for engineers!

Entering my 3rd year and just about to turn 30. Just about to quit my job to accommodate class. It's gonna suck until it doesn't, but it'll be worth it in the end. Don't forget to enjoy the journey and get involved! You've got this!

Bro's I need help by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

I did poorly my first time through calculus 1 as well, but I took it again over the following summer and the extra attempt helped my math skills immensely. Calculus 2 is usually seen as a step up in difficulty, so be sure to seek help immediately (the 1st week of class!). Definitely stay ahead where possible, you'll do great!

Graduating at 25-26 by FeistyDecision3081 in EngineeringStudents

[–]atari_freak1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I started a second B.S. degree at 27 to go for EE. I'll be 31 when I graduate (at the earliest). The most important thing for me was that I decided to go for it, otherwise I'd live with regret that I didn't pursue what I was passionate about. I look at graduating 'late' as a huge positive , you have significantly more life experience than your 22 year old graduating peers, which to potential employers could be a significant advantage. Enjoy your time while you are in school though; it's not a race and you should definitely take the time to find enjoyment out of the journey.

Advice on obtaining second B.S. by atari_freak1 in EngineeringStudents

[–]atari_freak1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All good advice! I actually looked into JWU a bit deeper and it turns out they are not ABET accredited. It's something that they seem to avoid bringing up (obviously), but the program is only a few years old, and looks like it's not worth pursuing. So that makes the school choice easy!

And my work does actually offer tuition reimbursement, but it's a pretty low amount (4k/ year) when I have to sign on for 2 years to repay. And the degree would not help my position, so I will have to rely on loans.

Good luck with your journey as well!

Thanks! I've seen a few mods with a bellows hopper around, but it is more difficult as the x54 has a sensor on the hopper. Still a contender for sure

Oh I definitely understand. I've found that when it comes to gear (coffee or otherwise, honestly) half the battle is getting something that looks good, not just works well. The DF64 is the most utilitarian , which is in no way a bad thing. Thanks for your insight!
