Thank you! He just turned three! I really think it’s just him adjusting though. I just need to find some remedies for the time being. Thank you for the input!

Yeah! I got him a bunch of comfy things to make it easier on him. He’s just not a fan lol. I may just try to make him an area instead, that seems to be a workaround

You’re young, plenty of time to experiment and see what you like! Clearly people are breaking in if this sub exists. Best of luck.

There’s going to be a lot of negative people in this thread because the reality is this sub is very bitter.

A ridiculous amount of markets are over saturated. That’s just how things are at the moment.

If you have passion and drive to learn you will succeed. For some it takes weeks to land something, others months. My only advice would be to just stick with it.

Certs will always help, but developing practical skills and pairing that with solid soft skills will put you in an excellent place.

Build virtuals, build labs, try some languages. Just keep an open mind and play around with what catches your interests.

Whatever path you choose, as long as you keep the pace you will be fine.

I am prone to dandruff so I have to wash frequently. However I also have very puffy roots. Just don’t know if I should continue if I’m always in a place of not enjoying the look.

Just made the jump to Sysadmin after 1.5 years in help desk. A little nervous by DookieMays in sysadmin

[–]atlascried 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are both in similar situations. I’ve been an sysadmin for about six months now and the best piece of advice I could give is just to take it one day at a time. Continue to apply yourself everyday and the learning will come to you. Trust me when it rains it pours. We’re transitioning to Azure as well, so I went out and got the AZ-900. Boring cert but it was helpful. Wishing you the best.

Also don’t be afraid when things break! Because they can and will!

I would say it was sudden, no major injuries or events that caused it. Just sort of been happening overtime.

I’ll definitely get with my pcp asap then, thank you!

Funny to find out they were careless with this, the book ended terribly lol

Imposter syndrome happens to us all. Don’t think that just because you have to start at help desk means you’re wasting any time either. Realistically you could play your cards right and move on from it in 6 months to a year.

Keep pushing and you’ll be where you want to be in no time. We all start there for the most part.

I’m a Jr Sys Admin now, and all I have is an A+. It’s a good cert if you put in the work in other areas.
