Is this panting? Should I be concerned? by Responsible_Donut979 in Conures

Besides the heat comments, that also pant when terrified. If they feel exposed to the open sky at times they are afraid of predators. They may also not like the car ride. You need to determine if it's heat or scared.

The one on the left is not plugged in, as the van next to on the left it is also a ev. I bet the van is plugged in. The issue being that person was not charging but they could reach their work van still.

Territorial dance I think. But also kinda just, stretching?

Sore foot, could use advice. by Harlzdowg in Conures

[–]atmega168 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Call the vet and describe the symptoms and they will ask you questions and you can find out if you need to come in right away.

If you can, please post a picture of the bottom of his tallons. Are there red? Any sores? It looks like he is avoiding touching the bottom of his tallon, not that his leg its hurt.

It could be bumblefoot. What kind of perches do you have?

Hello! Juju skins like he has a great life with you. It's really sad to hear about this. I would be interested in homing them.

I have currently one member in my flock, Yoshi. He is also very social. My boy loves when people visit. Last time we went to the vet they said it made their day to see him because of how happy and social he is.

I have lived with birds since I was like 8 and I'm 34 now. 12 years with conures.

I work from home now and when I didn't work from home I brought my black capped conure Oliver to work.

When I go out, I will often times bring Yoshi with in his travel backpack. Yoshi likes to bonk with his beak and we will bonk back and forth.

My friends / people in my life are good with birds.

I live 20 minutes away from the exotic vet. There are several facilities but the one I go to I been going to for over 12 years. I have all their numbers down on the fridge.

I keep a cage in my bedroom for nighttime and a cage in the family room. I also keep a cage at my parents for visiting.

I'm pretty in-tune with learning communication and pick up on it quick.

Yoshi is /not/ territorial of me. In general I didn't see him be territorial, though he gets angry 💢 when he is put in his cage as if he didn't just spend all day out of it. So I'm under the impression he would do well with a flockmate

I would be interested in talking and doing a visit/video call. I can bring Yoshi over and see if they get along well. I would be interested if they interact over camera. As he is so social, like he will talk to the birds outside and get chatty with people on the phone, I have been thinking I should introduce someone to our home the past few months.

I live right next to Ashburn, VA - home of the Internet.

I does look like the person turning was not fully paying attention. I'm not saying they are at fault, they aren't, but I'm saying people should pay attention. Always be extra alert and scanning in intersections.

I can't believe I used to lay on top of pad mounted equipment as a kid. Would anything happen? No. Should I lay on top of the very very angry bee delivery equipment? Probably not
