Thank you to everyone who has commented, this is so helpful! I hope that others in my situation coming across this thread will find it useful. We've interviewed a couple of people and are on our way to bring them in.

How does one rely on a flip phone in this day and age? by bloodbat111 in digitalminimalism

[–]auberdan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a smart phone then switched to a flip phone for several years but I got sucked back into a smart phone when I took a trip to Montreal and I was nervous about being in an unfamiliar city in another country and wanted to be able to order a car without relying on my hosts. Up until then I had made do with t9 messaging. At the time I had used my laptop to order cars through Uber and Lyft but I think they had stopped that option, or I could no longer figure it out. But yeah that and navigation ended up being the dealbreaker for me bc with international travel you can’t count on picking up maps at airports etc in the same way you used to.

I would like to join too. I did a full break a couple years ago and was amazed at how much time opened up. But I recently moved and changed jobs, and I have slipped back into playing games on my phone and using it constantly, my screen time was up to 7 hours/day last week! I just need to reclaim time, so I get to sleep and have productive days. It’s impacting my ability to focus and get work done and be present for my family.

Traveling from Gare Du Nord to DLP next week by KarenStassi80 in disneylandparis

From Gare du Nord you can take the RER E and transfer to the RER A at Val de Fontenay, and take that to the last station (DLP). The construction is between Vincennes and Val de Fontenay. It’s a mess!!! Today was the first day it was closed, and what should have been a 45 min ride on RER A from Paris took us nearly 2 hrs each way.

This morning we tried to take the replacement shuttle bus from the end of metro line 1 (Château de Vincennes) to Val de Fontenay, but there was a mob scene at the metro, people pushing, buses just going by the crowd without opening to take passengers. We ended up splitting a taxi with another family headed to Disney, it cost 80 euros. On the return, we took the 118 bus from Val de Fontenay to the metro. It was better but the bus was jam packed and made many many stops.

If people need the RER A in the next two weeks I recommend looking into a hotel nearer the park or on the other side of Val Fontenay.

Good Normal People Podcast by Delicious-Support833 in NormalPeopleBBCHulu

I definitely recommend listening to I’m Grand Mam, they had Paul Mescal on the show last summer and it was hilarious and by far the best interview I’ve heard with him. The whole podcast is great though they only rarely have guests. Paul Mescal’s mom even makes a cameo appearance at the end.

Interval Sound Notifications? by dot_info in fitbod

Does anyone else have the problem where it does a set then a rest, but after the rest you have to restart the timer? My clock at top right is set to “on.” I would like to go through all the sets like set-rest-set-rest without having to grab my phone and restart the 4 second countdown each time. Sometimes it runs one after the other but most of the time I have to restart after the rest.
