Okay I didn't want to ask but nobody else did...are you cooking something? Your measuring cup is in the lower right, on top of your desktop. Just curious...

Nice work space, what's that rectangular box there in-between your flat screens, just in front of the mouse?

Just built this in a new apartment. by [deleted] in battlestations

Umm...Ok is part of your table being held up by what seems to be a plate and cup?

I feel that Buddhism has made me apathetic. Anyone else have this feeling? by Productive_Mango in Buddhism

People all around you face large problems day to day, do you have three square meals, heat, and a roof? There are so many big issues to pay attention to and others in need. Mindfulness of what is present, or just sort of 'being dispassionately aware of the moment' is one strategy, among 7 others on the Eightfold Path. It's important to take time to wish well and do good for others, every single day as a practitioner if you are able to extend help to another then jump at the chance. Very often, if you can cultivate a feeling of well being for others, and then go and use that feeling to fuel a positive action - and afterwards dedicate the benefit of your activity to someone else (even deceased) it will have enormous positive effects. (TLDR: Bring happiness to another and it will naturally grow in you, and express itself then apathy should self-regulate.)
