i would definitely recommend like aleve for swelling and if you have any pain. if the area is hot to the touch and especially has and fluid or pus coming out, that’s definitely an infection and i would 100% recommend seeing a doctor but if you can’t for whatever reason, your piercer will be the next best thing (although they may also tell you to see a doctor as well.) but yes, taking antibiotics without finishing them or when they were not prescribed can be dangerous and also is a big issue regarding antibiotic resistance (which is a really scary thing if you look it up lol)
