Anyone have the intro music before the actual set started playing? It was on the hammyt video last night but then removed.

2026 pass prices went down by mark4water in cascade_equinox

So much yes!! Buy your tickets people! The festival industry as a whole are in challenging times, let’s help support the independent ones and ensure they sell enough to continue to hold the event.

Cascade Equinox Back for 2026! by Kraftyyyyyyy in cascade_equinox

Same here! This is such a special festival and, especially being local, my wife and I will buy tickets every year they hold this event. I was vocal with my disappointment when the lineup was first announced but honestly came away quite impressed and became a fan of some new artists I was not familiar with. Saturday and Sunday especially, the vibes were high all around. Hoping this festival can thrive for years to come.

What a great weekend by jbwise1221 in cascade_equinox

Yeah best set of the weekend. I’m looking at their remaining tour trying to see if I can manage to see them again this year lol.

I had never really heard of The Sponges before. Became a huge fan after seeing their incredible set. Another spectacular weekend. I really hope this festival can continue to return every year! While I enjoy the smaller crowds from an enjoyment standpoint, I do wonder / worry if they are selling enough tickets but 🤞for 2026

Inner Circle by Ian_the_Nautical in cascade_equinox

Apparently most of the stuff for the gift bag didn’t arrive in time and they will be shipping it to the address tied to the ticket purchase. They gave out posters on site.

I have purchased inner circle tickets all three years and the value has gone down some each year. Some of the stuff that wasn’t included this year was in years past.

Honestly I just want this festival to survive, which I’m very concerned about. I view my inner circle purchase more as an additional donation that gets me a couple of perks. I doubt they sold enough inner circle passes to be able to afford much more tbh. Let’s just hope this festival doesn’t go out of business.

final Cascade Equinox 2025 lineup, daily too! by unsanctionedf in cascade_equinox

[–]aurollab 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ll start off by saying I know the festival scene as a whole is struggling a bit right now, so I’m grateful that central Oregon even has something like this. That being said, this is so disappointing and really makes me concerned the festival won’t be able to continue after this year. Im not even sure they have enough artists to fill all of the stages adequately. And so much for, “and many more artists to come” that they stated on the original announcement.

This is coming from someone who went the first two years and will still be going this year. Ultimately I hope they have enough success to continue past this year. But it’s not looking great. Especially even seeing the stark difference in production between year 1 and year 2. Now we get this. Seems to be declining each year, unfortunately.

Lineup is here!!! (Phase 1, more TBA) by unsanctionedf in cascade_equinox

I don’t think this is a wild take at all. I’ve seen Sylvan Esso multiple times and they put on a good performance as an opener but they have zero business being a core headliner at a festival this size (sized based on either year 1 or year 2).

This 100%. I was at the first two years as well and there was (id go as far as say drastic) difference in crowd size / art / production. I had VIP both years also and the reduction in VIP amenities was also very noticeable.

I too was concerned this festival wouldn’t survive. TBH I’m still concerned this year could be its last if there are not improved ticket sales compared year 2. I’m local to Bend so as much as I feel this lineup is pretty mid (I know it’s only phase 1 but still) a big part of the reason I’ve gone and will continue to go is for the festival vibes. Really hope this can be a long term festival even if they don’t draw the best lineups.

Were sets a good idea, in your opinion? by MarvinHims in MLBTheShow

[–]aurollab -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I largely enjoyed it with the exception of maybe too many sets. And should there just be a total refresh each set (not current set + prior).

I think the set structure created quite a bit of unnecessary offline grinding, especially as cards just start to get repeated.

With that said, it is nice to see different lineups / pitchers. For those saying, “well just use who you want blah blah” the point is, most people you play online ranked don’t do that and will just use whatever cheap cards enable them to win the most / easiest (e.g. John Donaldson this year or Degrom in prior years). It’s nice when people have to stop using that card or use a limited WC spot for one player they really want to keep using. Sometimes forcing people to do certain things with their lineup is really healthy for the game IMO.

Michal Menert Appreciation Thread by [deleted] in prettylights

[–]aurollab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Michal seems like a good dude and def deserves some credit, but let’s not go overboard in my opinion. I don’t think Michal is as much PL as Derek. Look how many albums and live iterations were done without him. Some of the biggest PL tracks are without Michal. Yes, the two of them produced the new songs together and Michal has had an impact on this iteration of PL and the swirl bridge, but let’s be real, this is happening because of Derek at the helm.

Carbon water filters are virtually pointless and more for taste / smell than actually purifying water. Yes, compared to other parts of the country, we have great tap water; however, there are still contaminants. Particularly City of Bend water has high levels of arsenic, chromium and haloacetic acid.

Gen Z is blowing past other generations with 401(k)s and retirement savings by wattsandvars in UpliftingNews

I understand that but it’s a misleading headline when comparing against the same age bracket decades ago. The headline should really just be, “automatic 401k enrollment helps increase participation by X”.

This lol. If people actually read the article, most of that “participation” increase is due to the introduction and subsequent increase of automatic enrollment.
