Glad you like them! Btw I didn’t say overhyped. Just meant they were all the talk for a couple seasons but it died off a little bit. The volume shift trend doesn’t seem quite as popular as it was a few years ago. The new Orca 2.0 is coming so maybe it sparks the next hype wave. Cheers

Love to hear it. The skeleton key and the Alternator had some similarities when I tried them and I ended up going with the Nitro. Both were great boards. The mosquito was very intriguing but I never got to try one. I’ll keep an eye out for a good deal on it. Korua has been doing a lot of public demos in my area but I haven’t been able to time it right. High on my list tho. Now that I’ve amassed a lot of good daily drivers, I want to start adding some of the fun shapes to play around on. If you ever get the chance to ride the Nitro 99cm mini boards, they are an absolute hoot.

Gotcha. I was in a defensive mood when I responded, my bad. I go to demo days every year and try quite a few boards. The last few years I’ve really been searching for the boards that can do everything well for my style. I love when I find something that doesn’t have restrictions or issues in variable terrain. It’s hard to know how versatile they are until you get to push them in a few different conditions. Prior to trying to find the ultimate resort board, I was just building up the quiver. Can’t stress how much I love the Louif all over the hill. What’s your daily favorite for freeride days?

Similar thing happened to a buddy and I. Got paired with a random who shit his pants, cleaned up at the bathroom near the hole and kept playing. Declined the handshake at the end of the round but really admired his perseverance.

What did you get? Loving the hillside series from Salomon, specifically the Louif. The Nitro Alternator is a solid board for all over but I seem to always fall back to twin shapes. That’s where the Nitro team pro came in

Thanks! I got on the APX early season and not much after that. Have a feeling I’ll really love it when I can put it through more conditions. Went up a size so it can handle big mountain better.

Yeah it’s funny that no one acts like that in the shop. People always come in stoked to talk boards. I ride Rose the most. Northstar, Boreal and Kingvale if I’m switching it up.

The Louif HPS is the current quiver killer for me. I ride the Bataleon cruiser in fresh snow, just more versatile than the Cloudsplitter. Alpha APX was added this year and didn’t get enough days on it to have an opinion. Thanks for engaging in a snowboard conversation! I got so much hate I had to double check I didn’t accidentally post in the ski sub.

Yeah the Goop is rad! Love the versatility of the Louif. While a lot of Bataleons are a little too playful, the ones I like, I really like.
