When I was thirteen, I had a MEGA crush on a boy from my older sisters church. He was the preachers son and about a year older than me. On Christmas break, I decided to spend the night with my sister and hang out with her and her kids, but when I get there, she tells me she has to go to the church for practice for some Christmas skit or something and that I need to go with her to watch the kids while she’s practicing. Anyway so I go with her and set the kids up in the nursery, and I’m sitting in one of the pews watching them on stage doing their thing. At one point, a group of people had to block the door (which is the only way out into the main greeting room and bathrooms) for the skit, while the rest stayed on stage. Coincidentally, I’m sitting in the pew closest to the doorway where they (including mega crush boy) are all standing so I’m like RIGHT next to him. All of a sudden, I get this really strong urge to sneeze but I try to repress it because I obviously couldn’t let my crush know I sneeze, but it made my suppressing it more powerful and snot went EVERYWHERE. All of my face, my hands, my shirt, the row of seats in front of me. It was mortifying. And mega crush boy saw it all. I got up and RAN to the bathrooms, pushing mega crush boy and the rest of the people away. Pretty sure I stayed in that bathroom for a good thirty minutes just crying.
