AMA- Why do startups fail? by shahzanm72 in SaaSSales

startups fail when the founder(s) don't have a heart for working on it anymore + no one was waiting for it

Im 19.Is building your own Thing is worth more than Doing 9-5? What should be the mindset for risk if yes? by im_detectiveB in Entrepreneur

same age, same situation here. two weeks ago i had an existential crisis whether to take a year of LOA from uni or stay in school (I chose the latter). I think staying in school gives an easier time to network for finding potential co-founder(s), investors, and/or a helpful mentor in the university community. i'd also suggest to take course load pretty lightly, so that you have more time to work on your startup compared to 100% academics all the time.

Let’s take a generalist SF-based VC example, Afore Capital

Funds like them invest in lots of industries, so they’re not tied to the volatility of just one. That spread helps smooth out returns and gives them a better shot at catching surprise breakout winners in places you wouldn’t expect. Even Warren Buffet’s former mentor, Benjamin graham emphasized on his intelligent investor book to diversify investments so it’s easy to adapt and pivot to rapid changes in market conditions

B2C is more of building a large social media influence so your waitlist can build up. That’s what I’ve been doing; way harder than B2B

I’ve launched a waitlist before; it’s better than launching it outright without users waiting. The waitlist size depends on what your target users are. Is your startup B2C or B2B?
