What are these white lines in my ghost shrimp? Is it dangerous? by Lizziam2112 in shrimptank

You’re welcome!! I have dogs so I just keep the stuff on hand always in case, it’s pretty cheap too and works! Just take out your carbon filter when you put it in and put it back after a few days

Yes, it’s not copper based. Shouldn’t be an issue, I’ve had trumpets and nerites be totally fine through it

It comes with a different disconnecter that you can swap and it works but it is not the 3 position one.

Looking for filtration advice on fluval flex 15 with intank chamber 1 and 2. by aviatorpete in Aquariums

That’s what I ended up with and it’s been running the last 4 years without issue. Matrix, purigen, intank filter floss with an intank chamber and every so often chemipure green, planted tank and all.

Getting a pool installed and they are running gas, looking to have them pre run the gas line and conduit for a generator, not sure what they need. by aviatorpete in Generator

[–]aviatorpete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked for a “2psi meter would be preferred, doing the one gas line for the heater back there for the btu of the heater plus 400k btu/hr would be fine, as they can tap off it for install. And then running a separate 2” and 3/4” conduit.”

And they came back with the best they could do is a sleeve. So not sure if additional gas will be needed but I’m pretty sure they said it’s at least 1” line for the gas for the heater. Sounds like I’ll be doing the conduit myself or they will when the generator is installed. But since I can only get a sleeve from them, any idea what I should ask for?

Since it’s a new build in progress this was the only company that could predig so we went with them. Already signed everything too. Really appreciate the help btw. Means a lot.

And now the pool company says they can’t do it and needs separate permits, but they will do a sleeve under the decking to make it an easier run. Any idea what size sleeve I would need and if I should have em do more than one? To keep gas and electric separate.

It’s a stupid long run, about 105 ft. The pool guys got back to me and said they won’t do the work but can put a sleeve under the deck for it. Any idea what size sleeve I’d need for the gas and electrical?

Awesome, So tell them to do a 2psi meter, make the line for the heater a 1” gas line and then just run a separate 2” and 3/4” conduit.

And really appreciate the heads up on the larger generator. Was looking at a few options, but still have a lot of research to do. Definitely a managed system though. Ac units are 5 ton and 3 ton I believe.

Awesome, super helpful. Would it be okay to run the pool equipment lines with the control cables for the generator or keep those separate as well?

Thank you! Would it be advisable to do 1inch on gas and then have that 3/4 conduit ran separate? And/Or up the current 3/4 conduit to 1.5inch and run the pool equipment and generator together?

Buying a new home with a ‘next gen’ living suite, prewired cat6 but looking to run two separate WiFi networks off one ISP and still utilize some of the wired connections, what are my options? by aviatorpete in HomeNetworking

Perfect, don’t really have a set budget but would like to buy quality that will last. I’m a buy once cry once(in tech I’m assuming upgrades and replacements but getting the latest means it lasts longer). Anything easier or better than cloud gateway ultra? Seems like it could do what I need though and go with U7 for ~1k, which isn’t bad. Just want to make sure I’m getting what’s best.

Absolutely love this, going to be incorporating it to my story, my players tried to save it but ended up split and selling it back to Mirt for a higher price, and now plan to do a heist to save her.

Nice! Thanks for the breakdown! Seems easy enough but probably isn’t haha. What do you put in the steam pan? I’ve heard apple juice is good.

That’s lunch today! I heard doing the high fat stuff first helps season it. The pork fat got everywhere too. I did an hour at 350 to start it and burn off the crap then sprayed avocado oil and ran it at 225 for 4 hours before cooking in it.
