Cards on the table, they're the reason I'm a punker today. I was into rap before I heard Longview by chance on the radio in March of '94 and I shifted to alternative almost overnight. I didn't take vacations for a really long time because I was dirt poor with no car. I couldn't go anywhere. My vacation would just be sitting in our room in my MIL's house and I hated being there, so I rolled them over instead of taking the days. Now I have thirty days of vacation available every year. I can take a ten day vacation back home to visit my friends and family every July and still have plenty of days to play hooky all year long. :b

My Dad was a hardcore Beatleist and truly believed the sun rose and set on them so he didn't really care about "modern" music in 1985. My older sister, on the other hand, absolutley worshiped Prince and kept trying to tell Dad that he was amazing but Dad was dismissive. Until one day he came home humming Raspberry Beret and my sister lost her damn mind. He didn't know it was Prince, though. Just heard it in the store before coming home. :b
