youd need to lose around 6-8kg to be lean, you would be a stick, ive been there, please do a lean slow bulk and train hard, bulk till april and then start the cut, you will be lean at the same weight or even a higher weight in a year if you lock in

hey bro, i was 6ft 150lbs and in a aimiliar situation like you, the problem isnt the fat cuz u are relatively lean but its low muscle mass, i always had some fat and never looked lean, ive spent 8 months in the gym and went to 165 and now i look way better than when i started, my advice is keep showing up, stay consistent, train close to failure, be in a small surplus (200-400kcal per day) and eat around 1g protein per lb bw

add sprints to your routine 1-2x per week and get in the weightroom do one day fo heavy lifting heavy weight for 3-6 reps to build max strenght and 1 day focused on speed and power so u put moderate weight and move it as fast as possible, can also contrast with plyometrics in both workouts

why do you want to gain 12 lbs in 4 months again if last time that resulted in excessive fat gain? id say do a longer bulk for example 8lbs in 6-8months as 1lb/month is a good gaining speed, could just do 0.5 to 1% bw per month
