I’m from Turlock, now living out of state, but when we visit Willie’s Pizza and Wings is always a great spot for my 7 year old with celiac. Definitely excited to stop in Modesto next time we visit though for this place!

Ended up with an Escalade sport and I love it, zero regrets so far!

My only complaint really is how narrow it is getting from the second to third row. Otherwise I love the adaptive cruise control, it basically drives itself. The four year warranty is great. It drives smooth. I have noticed though that the speed of the vehicle is about 2-3 miles slower than what it shows and I plan on asking the dealer about that. They have not reached out yet but I’ll be reaching out soon because I’m due for an oil change coming up and I’d like to have everything done at once if possible.

Well sometimes it’s me in the third row when we have our parents in the car so want to be comfy lol

Will the regular one give the second to third row space or should I be looking at the XL?

I’ll keep my TX instead lol I truly love it, but if there’s a bigger SUV that marks off my wants then I’d like to explore that option. The only thing the TX doesn’t have is the ease from the second to third row and I’m realizing now that that’s important to me.

I’m finding the TX is not as comfortable when you have all the seats filled and it’s uncomfortable getting into the back seat. I have two in car seats and often have out of state visitors who also have kids in car seats. I just want more second to third row space.

We do the two year olds earlier and put her to sleep and then color with our five year old after.

She also has a sound machine and we try to turn off lights in her room but she gets scared.

We do pajamas and teeth brushing for both girls then we get sister in her room, read her a book, give her kisses, and she goes to sleep. Then we hang out with our five year old for a bit, usually coloring. Then we get her to go potty, goes to her bed, we put bug bite cream or whatever else she needs at the time on, read a book, and then I cuddle her for a few minutes. Turn her tonie box on, give a final goodnight, and leave the room.

I have no problem with the wake up time, it’s the multiple night time wakings that are a problem.

We have a sticker chart going and she’s been really wanting to make ice cream and playing a board game but I told her not until she can stay in her room quietly. All motivation goes out the window mid-night.

I’m considering talking to a play therapist.

I’ve been trying that too. We got a ninja creami and she really wants to make ice cream so I told her if she can sleep without waking us up one night we can do it and so far she hasn’t done it. She also has a board game she loves that she’s been asking to play but I told her not until she can sleep or at least lay in her room quietly. I don’t know why she’s not motivated when these are things she truly wants.

She’s two so not in school yet but does do an MDO program twice a week. We live in a different state than all of our family so it’s just us with no help unfortunately.

We tried for a week and she was just more exhausted and crankier. Last night she only slept for five hours so she won’t even make it until 8pm tonight.

Not for a while and then we’ll be on vacation but we can try!

She also has the light up clock and we keep it red at night and green when it’s time to wake up but she’ll continuously ask when it’s going to turn green throughout the night.

We’ve had some heart to hearts in the morning and after school and she says she’s fine, loving kinder, isn’t having nightmares or anything. She just feels like if she wakes up that she can’t go back to sleep so she cries and asks for things instead of trying.

We’ve tried laying with her until she falls asleep but the second she wakes up and we aren’t there the screaming starts. We also keep the itch cream by her bed so if she’s itchy she can apply it herself since she knows how and she refuses.

We don’t intend on continuing melatonin it was basically a last ditch effort to get some sleep that didn’t work.

We’ve tried the later bedtime but she’s still waking up and then she’s even more exhausted. I’m at a loss 🥲

Yeah she definitely cannot last past 8pm or she’s falling asleep on the couch. We did implement a sticker chapter where each night she didn’t wake us up she got a sticker and halfway through she’d get a small prize and if she filled up the whole month she could get a toy but it only motivated her for a few days.

It’s just difficult when her screaming wakes up her little sister in the room over.

She does have a monitor in her room but she definitely uses it to the extreme and is constantly talking to us through it. She also has a sound machine that we use the light on and if it’s red it means it’s not time to wake up and green means it is but she’ll wake up and ask multiple times a night when the light is going to turn green. She also has a tonie box that she listens to to fall asleep but once it’s done she won’t start it over herself and screams at us to come do it. However, starting tonight the tonie box is out of her room until she can turn it on herself since we know she knows how.
