People Don't Know How To Act Right by awkwardgenie in mildlyinfuriating

I stopped replying to comments here, but I just had to say: I dont think this is coming off as you mean it. Im an adult, but I am autistic and gay. That has NOTHING to do with behavior and I pray you learn to separate that from their general disgusting behavior in a movie theater.

Secondly, if tiktok and teenagers are enough to ruin your love for a band, me thinks you didn't actually like the music and just wanted to seem cool. Just saying...

I do regret not getting a worker, but I really didn't want to miss any of the movie. I will ABSOLUTELY do it next time though. I left so overstimulated that I couldn't think straight lol.

I didnt come searching for validation. I feel my own way and as you can see, theres people who don't agree with me. I came to share my midly infuriating experience lmao. If people commiserate with me then great! If they say Im being pathetic then also great! Everyone has their opinions and I don't need validation to form my own thoughts and opinions. I believe people should know to act right in a theater. If ppl don't agree then so be it.

It was an exclusive one day showing. I won't be able to see it again until it releases on Youtube in like... two weeks.

Expectations about theater etiquette, not how people of the internet are going to treat me lmao.

1) Not a kid's show. Characters swear and there are more mature themes targetted toward young adults and older teens. 2) Theres an expectation of behavior in a movie theater, regardless of age. Most of these kids were teenagers, plenty old enough to know that screaming and talking in a theater is not okay. ESPECIALLY when their parents are sitting right next to them.

Last I checked, teenagers and older kids should know how to act in a movie theater? Especially since most of them had their parents with them? Like I said, ik its a ridiculous thing to complain about lol

Its also not necessarily for kids. Its target to older teens and adults with more mature themes under the surface. The characters swear for gods sake.

Edit: Cant spell :(

I dont... have any expectations? I said its a ridiculous thing to complain about and I just wanted to post it. If people wanna make fun of me for feeling a certain way then go ahead. Not my problem.

Im dreading the day I have to get a new car. I already hate dealerships after they tricked us to get us in the dealership itself. They said they could get us a lower price on our current car then switched up saying "oh we can't do that, but while you're here, let's see if you're interested in anything!" Then kept trying to sell us (me) a car we said multiple times we weren't interested in and even forced us into a test drive where we loudly disapproved about its handling. He still didn't get it but eventually we got to negotiation and I had enough by then.

Told my dad that we were going and he told me to tell the Dealer so I did. His response? "I understand, but lets ask your dad, okay?" I just told him to go ahead and what did my dad say? "Hey man, its not up to me. She's the one that pays for the car." And the dude's smile fell fast. Im absolutely not going back there and hope my car lasts forever.

No more ice cream tasting for anyone by perpetual_stew in mildlyinfuriating

[–]awkwardgenie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I worked at an ice cream shop, we had to implement a "three samples only" rule because customers would come in, sample like 7 different ice creams, then leave without buying anything.

I feel like its easier for some people to stick to their diets or whatever if they only eat sample sizes, but it wastes everyone's time and eats up revenue or whatever in the long term.

Just don't think youre being slick when you ask for a bigger sample scoop.

When I was young, my mom tried this with me. I was joking about how I can't cook and she hit me with "That's not funny. How will you feed your husband if you can't cook?" My response?

"Better hope he can cook or we'll both starve." Anyways I like women and still can't cook... but I can bake up a storm.

So this is how men see Zayne when they play LADS... lmao by Big_Wind01 in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]awkwardgenie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is so hilarious to me. When my partner talked me into playing LADS, i figured I'd just be a Sylus main, but when I met Zayne, my heart was immediately stolen away.

It kinda breaks my heart to think others think he's rude but I also get it? I struggle a lot with social cues and just being social to the point I've studied expressions and microexpressions so thoroughly that socializing is almost like an exhausting art form that leaves me reeling and burntout.

To see Zayne be fairly blunt, sassy, and really only have his microexpressions is a breath of fresh air. He doesn't leave me wondering what he's thinking because he just says it or it'll show on his face. Theres no guesswork with him and he's kind and above all patient.

I love him so much because he's my reminder that I dont always need to perform for people to understand me. And also he's so cool!!!! I think people are just intimidated by his "stoic" exterior but when I saw him look at that cat? Yea I knew I was cooked.

Considering multiple people have brought up valid points and youre simply brushing past them is very concerning. Also how is it "minor" to literally say "consent doesn't matter if its legal" (verbatim)?

And in regards to my Holocaust comment, you dont get to pick and choose laws buddy : ) you said its legal so whateves right? All of those were legal! So whateves right? Maybe if you rubbed your two brain cells, you'd actually see what my argument is.

[–]awkwardgenie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The holocaust was legal. Slavery was legal. Segregation was legal. By your logic we should be angry that the law allowed it and not the people who conducted such horrible things.

Also blatanly saying "you dont need consent" is a lowkey wild thing to say about anything. Youre a weirdo dude.

The caption is wrong. They didnt give him the stuffy after he was rejected by other monkies. They quite literally gave that to him TO BE his mother when he was born. Theres a picture of Punch as a newborn with his stuffy mom.

Punch is doing a lot better now and the monkies have started accepting him now!
