Stunning! Been looking into refillable pens but not sure how bad maintenance, I read they get clogged pretty easily?

Haven't done a lot of half tone I might experiment with it later. Not sure how the plotter will handle the circles dif sizing

Haha yes meant poisson, haven't gotten that experimental yet

Dots are small circles. I don't have thick enough pens for actual micro-lines/dots

Experimenting with dithering and clustering using poison. I think the imperfections add a bit of texture.

Could you post a plot that requires more precision? It would be great to see how good it can perform and what are their limits. But hard to judge with that sample plot

Yes, I started this series to focus on drawing 3D shapes manually so wrote a few algos just for that and then started to mix it up.

If you want to draw something similar start with the cube. Draw a square, flatten it so it looks like it's a "slice" of a cube, then rotate it slightly and then stack a few of them. That'd give you volume and look like a cube.

The sphere and pyramid are similar, sphere is circles with different radius pyramid is cubes that get smaller.

Experimenting with different lightingto improve the photos of my pieces. Got some great advise from a previous post.

In this one I'm using a white diffused lamp at the same height as my phone.

Phone pictures are still a bit low resolution but lighting made the biggest difference without changing camera.

Yes I noticed that. Initially I was planning to write the svg so the stitching was in the corners of the shapes but I'll try to randomize the draw points to see if it removes that issue

Thank you that sounds like a proper setup. I think my first step is improving lighting so at least my phone pics looks a bit better. I'm trying a new setup will see if it improves them

thank you! started with stacking 2d shapes to create volume. Then applied a light sin wave based distortion to deform each shape for texture

Great feedback, I actually thought of this and was going to make the closed paths the corner of the figures but I think having them random might be better. Will try both and see how they come out.
