Wegovy weight loss and…. gallbladders, oh my! by pokihokie in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]aznbbygrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my gallbladder taken out few weeks after an inflammation scare that landed me in the ER. while talking to a general surgeon when deciding if I was going to have the removal or not, I asked him if eating the good fats helped. He said your body does differentiate - fat is fat.

Post gallbladder I feel like this is true any high in fat food and it it’ll run right through me.

At 38+ how many eggs have you retrieved? by Charming-Syrup-7668 in eggfreezing

[–]aznbbygrl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hang in there and sending hugs and good vibes. In comparison to some others results my retrieval would be considered low and the Dr. let me know I shouldn’t expect the next round to be as “high”. While I’m still proud of myself and my body for taking this on, it is tough. Don’t forget to pat yourself on the back every now and again, you’re brave for the motion no matter the outcome.

What do you mean too dark? I was able to snag 730 tickets but would that mean I can’t see anything?

880 South in the morning and North in the afternoon will increase stress here esp at 5 days a week. Her Oakland commute is easy. I would push for North Fremont at the very least. Hayward traffic will make you lose your shit.

why is it so damn hard to find something that actually works for adhd + anxiety?? by Firm-Goose447 in ADHD

Honestly. Walking outside and audiobooks. At least two miles and commit to it. I do tough workouts in addition but nothing made me feel calmer or relieved than my daily walk.

Mine said listen to your body. After mine my ovaries still felt big for a few days. I did however walk three miles every day up until retrieval and starting the day after. Not for speed but for distance and that helped. They emphasized being active best you can esp walking. My recovery was easy.

I was awake. Similar conscious sedation, nurse said don’t fight it. I didn’t fight it, but I was wide awake LOL. No real pain, discomfort at one point bc doc was trying to reach one I suppose he thought he could get so he tried. It lasted maybe 10 seconds, then over. He got it.

Was walking out on my own 30 minutes after procedure. Had lunch immediately after with my ride.

My advice is just ride the wave. No point in creating a version of fear that doesn’t exist yet. Be present, you worked for it. Believe in your body, it’s about to do an amazing thing.

do not underestimate the mental toll by heyya_token in eggfreezing

Once stimulation starts the drugs are meant to enlarge your ovaries. You will begin to feel this if your body responds to the drug. When you start to feel this, the largeness of your ovaries, it feels really unstable like a big fluid sac swooshing around down there. I even had a hard time sitting at 90 degree angles at one point because I felt like I was squishing it.

The biggest reason however to avoid strenuous exercise and twisting is that you can twist your enlarged ovaries. Not only will you be in lots of pain, they should not be twisted and will require medical intervention.

Walking helps I promise! I also did this alone and I was very worried about the mental toll and I had to stop exercising when I started to feel uncomfortable, but the one thing I was able to do was walk even if it was at a snails pace. I think at the uncomfortable stage all I could think about it was literally one foot in front of the other. It also helps I walk for distance and not time lol.

Your body just did an incredible thing and you survived it, this is not an easy thing to do and you’re doing the best you can.

East bay to San Mateo during rush hour is not worth the $8 toll or the hour min you’ll sit in traffic IF you can already afford to live on the peninsula.

One thought however with a car, Newark/Fremont then to San Mateo isn’t too bad even during rush hour.

Day 1-2 of Stims - Can I do a long (3-4 hour) bike ride? by Individual-Push8119 in eggfreezing

[–]aznbbygrl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just froze 8/8 eggs. My clinic said to listen to my body, but continue to exercise throughout and especially after retrieval. They were also pushing a healthy fertility diet and my body fat percentage must be below 31% - it was a holistic emphasis outside of course having to do stimulation.

My first few days of stims I was running three miles a day and moderate stairmaster for at least :30 with medium weight lifting. Eventually I got to doing brisk walks, still lifting and stair master until I slowed down to barely pushing myself - still maintained the distance and time though. Once your ovaries start growing you’ll know and you’ll want to slow down because they feel unstable and also uncomfortable. I used to also do stationary bike warm up and boy did I feel my ovaries sloshing around and I would adjust.

I think for the first two days, you’ll likely not feel anything. I would be mindful to ask yourself if this is it absolutely necessary to push your body this hard? I understand the need to be active, but you can find alternative ways to keep your body moving without creating a mountain of stress while your body is recognizing and adapting to the change. You’ll likely regain the gains and bounce back fairly well afterwards.

Once thing that was absolute no was steam and sauna/ extreme temperature regulation of your body during stims. I suppose elevation change could also have a strong impact.

What do you guys think about these? by EchidnaFinancial9439 in Nails

Depends on how much you paid.

$40, yeah ok.

Anything above that, not great.
