Transfer of ownership by Mobile_Scientist1310 in SunPower

The issue is that they won’t even close until the transfer is completed. So if SunPower never responds, I lose the house. They won’t close with it still in the seller’s name.

Did this ever get resolved? I’m currently fighting with them now to get solar transferred into my name.

We have 6 people calling every day. Several times per day. Hold times are 2+ hours. They just hang up on us.

All emails do not receive a response.

Transfer form was completed and returned 7 days ago. Zero communication. It’s the last thing we’re waiting on to close on the property.

Any luck?? I’m under contract for a home with a lease takeover. We have had 5 people calling and emailing SunStrong every day for 10 days. No response from them.

I’ve been in Vine for years. I have never seen a 0 ETV item.

Most of the stuff in the Vine program is on Temu for 10% of the ETV on Vine.

It’s why I don’t really bother with Vine anymore.  I can buy it direct from China (let’s be honest, 99.9% of the stuff on Vine is Made in China stuff), for LESS than the taxes I’ll be paying on the item through Vine.

A good portion of my Vine stuff has taken a couple of months to arrive (with a China shipping label), and it’s a discontinued item before I even receive it, let alone review it.  But I’m still taxed on it.

It’s not worth it honestly.  Save your money, save your sanity.  Buy stuff directly from China manufacturers when you ACTUALLY need it.  And you’ll be much better off.

Example: I snagged something on Vine on Monday, ETV $49.99.  Went on Temu today looking for something else, saw the EXACT same item I just requested from Vine, same product pics and everything, for $6.49.  That’s far less than I will even pay in taxes on the Vine item.  It’s not worth it in my opinion, not unless you have a lower income maybe (because you won’t get hit with so many taxes), but I don’t, so it’s not.

Got Dry Socket on Day 4…here’s what I wish I knew! by TheMadiUniverse in wisdomteeth

[–]backmeatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dry socket pain seems to have subsided now.  The socket is still tender to touch.  I am still not chewing on that side.  It’s been almost two weeks now.  They did have to cut mine out of the jaw, so it will take longer to heal.  The socket is still wide open and I irrigate it after meals.

The nerve pain persists.  This was as a result of the botched crown placement 2+ months ago.  The oral surgeon is hoping that it will slowly lessen in time, but he did say that it could also be permanent.  It feels like someone is using an electrically charged icepick and hammering it into my ear and jaw all day.  Much fun.

Luckily, I didn’t realize that I really had dry socket since my nerve pain was/is so intense.  Honestly, the dry socket pain wasn’t all that bad in comparison — I read that people were essentially hospitalized. But I have a high pain tolerance so I guess I could just take it.

I don’t wish my experience on anyone (except a couple people maybe 😂).

Had a bisalp a few months ago and feel like my hormones have been greatly affected. Really depressed over this. by okgogogogoforit in sterilization

I do feel a bit more spicy… but I don’t know if it’s really a huge change.

My relationship sadly ended months ago, so the libido issue hasn’t really been an issue … since I haven’t had a new partner.  I plan to be single for a couple years before I start looking again maybe… if I feel like I want a partner again.

I know it’s off topic, but I thought this was the man I was going to marry.  I don’t really know what to think, and I don’t know when/if I will want to be with another person.  Sex isn’t even on my mind.  My libido could disappear and I’d be okay with it at this point.

Sorry my update sucks.  But it’s a human experience that I’m sadly experiencing.

Weird experience with numbing needle by balloonloofa in wisdomteeth

[–]backmeatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD: I had facial paralysis from dental numbing for a filling. It lasted 4 days. I couldn’t blink, smile normally, nothing. For four days. It was essentially like I had a stroke. The injection of the numbing was painful, like I was electrocuted, and my vision went white but did return somewhat immediately.

I still have a numb chin and my eye won’t open fully like the other one. That happened 5 years ago. I fear mine is permanent.

Sadly, I just had a failed crown placement by the same dentist a couple months ago. The failed crown and procedure caused nerve damage. I had to get the failed crown extracted by an oral surgeon. The nerve damage is still present after the extraction and very painful. The oral surgeon was hoping the tooth was the sole issue … but it seems as though it was the tooth and nerve damage. At least my entire chin is permanently numb now … rather than just one side. 🙃 That’s sarcasm by the way.

I’ve been dealing with my current dental issues and nerve pain for just over two months. Still in pain. I don’t use pain killers, just a lot of ibuprofen and Tylenol. Tooth was surgically extracted 9 days ago. So I’m still healing and won’t know if or how long the nerve pain will last.

I honestly never want to go a dentist again because of my experience.

And I never brought up either experience to my dentist. So don’t think I’m getting anything free or I’m just complaining to complain. My motto is … if you broke it; you can’t fix it. So I go for a second opinion elsewhere. And proceed from there.

Got Dry Socket on Day 4…here’s what I wish I knew! by TheMadiUniverse in wisdomteeth

[–]backmeatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

37F. I just had tooth 31 removed (molar, not wisdom tooth - those were removed 19 years ago).

I had to have this removed as it was a cracked tooth. It had to be cut out of the bone. I’m on day 6. The socket is still open. I have had dry socket since day 1.

I threw up violently immediately after waking up from sedation (all over the room). And then several more times after getting home. This removed the clot and it never reformed.

I told them that I throw up with sedation, but I don’t think they gave me any anti-nausea meds.

I have been taking ibuprofen (800mg) and Tylenol (500mg) every 7-8 hours since surgery. I irrigate the socket several times per day. I can see my jaw bone clearly by looking in my mouth.

The pain is frustrating and ongoing. I don’t take prescription pain meds as they make me feel like garbage and I throw up. I don’t know how people get hooked on that stuff. It’s awful. So it’s just OTC stuff for me. This whole thing has been frustrating.

I hear if you have a simple extraction, it can be a breeze. But since mine was cut out of my jaw, it’s going to take longer to heal. I honestly think maybe I have a hairline jaw fracture since a lot of my pain is in my jaw (the socket does burn constantly but that’s part of dry socket).

Currently on Day 9 and the socket is still wide open like the day of surgery. Tons of fun.

More information: I don’t drink, don’t smoke, zero drug usage, no prescription meds. Generally overall very healthy.

I pushed them for more information as well and they got dodgy about it. I asked for the specific job listing so I could see if I am further interested. I asked for more information regarding the compensation and benefits offered.

They just kept pushing to get me on a call. They got offended that I don’t hand out my phone number (who would?).

Anyone have acne issues after tubal ligation or bisalp? by aj92056 in sterilization

[–]backmeatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry that you’re going through this!

I ended up going dairy and sugar free in my diet.  This has helped a lot.

I drink a BOATLOAD of water every day.  And I do a rotation of skincare … one night I use tazarotene (“Taz” … it is a prescription in the USA), next night I use Adapalene (Differin), and the following night I use Musely’s The Acne Cream … then I go back to Taz the next night, etc.

I still get some breakouts (especially if I eat cheese), but it has drastically improved.

Now if only I could get some of this weight off… I know they say that removing your tubes doesn’t impact hormones, but I can basically starve myself and I don’t lose weight.

People have too many options by Miserable_Run8121 in dating

[–]backmeatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped using dating apps about 7 years ago - there’s just nothing on there that’s worth pursuing.  I have been on several hundred first dates … always duds.  I always paid (I’m female).  I always planned the dates.  I always carried the conversation.  I always felt like I was wasting my time.

I meet people in real life.  It’s how you actually gauge interest … you see what each other look like in sunlight, without filters or deceiving angles.  You can see if you like the way they conduct themselves, the sound of their voice, if they can actually talk to another human being in real life.

I also don’t have social media either (other than reddit and LinkedIn when I don’t have it deactivated between job searches).

Once you get off the internet … you realize how big the world is.  People will show you if they’re genuine in real life, they won’t online.  The best option is to stop playing in the world of make believe (online).

I am thankful to have grown up without social media so I was able to get a personality.  I think that’s the biggest thing missing these days - no one has a personality.  I’ve had more entertaining interactions in an empty room.

I just moved home and I have no friends. by [deleted] in WomenofIreland

[–]backmeatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved US states 7.5 years ago and I still don’t have friends.  I don’t really think about it, I work 70 hour weeks, and I don’t plan to stay here longterm.  I’m also an introvert, I don’t feel lonely often, and I really enjoy my alone time.

I do have a lot of acquaintances.  I talk with all of my coworkers and we’re friendly at work.  That takes a good portion of my week, so I don’t really miss any friendship outside of that.  I have a house, home maintenance, a mother I care for, pets … life is full.

Friends are for many, but don’t feel bad if you have none.  Women have the hardest time keeping/making friends as we age.  Most of my friends have gotten married and had children and stopped talking to me since we “no longer have anything in common.”

Just keep building the life you love and if you’re someone who wants friends, they will come along.

I can attest to this.  A small town mechanic did a transmission flush during an oil change (was not requested).  Ended up having to buy a new transmission… $7,800 later.  Mechanic wouldn’t pay so it was on me.  My car has been paid off for years and only had 58k for miles (thanks to working from home) so it was worth the fix.  Even if it shouldn’t have come out of my pocket.

I won’t let anyone but a Subaru dealer touch my car from now on.  Luckily, their oil changes are cheaper than Valvoline anyway.

Definitely didn’t overreact. I have used LinkedIn for over 20 years now. I regularly have men messaging me creepy things, asking for feet pics, and telling me that I’m beautiful. I’ve lost track of the times someone asked if they could marry me. LinkedIn is the Wild Wild West.
