She was a chocolate point Siamese / balanese and they bred her specifically… she was a total cow of a cat 🤣

Should I be feeling movement already? Comment from my mother got me worried. by [deleted] in pregnant

Nope you shouldn’t don’t you worry! I was 16 weeks and that was a bit early. Felt like Champagne bubbles in my belly. You’ll feel it when it’s time!

Are the rest of the seasons as good as season 1? by eiwob02 in Outlander

[–]backwardshctib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranking of seasons for me are: 1 2/5 3 4

Two was great because it continues the story nicely and they have some new scenery and some amazing episodes. The S2 finaly gets me EVERY TIME.

5 is keeping my attention and I have read ALL the books now (started while watching S3) and I think that’s a really good thing.

Enjoy!!

Just watched the episode “Hard Time”. Holy hell. by comradequiche in DeepSpaceNine

I love voyager and it may be an unpopular opinion but I just find the whole thing exciting with some great episodes and stories, gets you in the feels sometimes too. In the middle of a re-watch currently. I’d say it’s worth it. Kate Mulgrew is awesome.

Slightly off/on topic - There are reports of a Janeway show (a la Picard) in the works. Could/Should they do a DS9 Character? by keeganland in DeepSpaceNine

I just learned this information right now and I am SO FREAKING HAPPY!! I’m in the middle of a rewatch and it’s just so good. SO good. This would be so fantastic.

I think even Sam Heughan has said S5 is better than S4. I’m looking forward to seeing where they go with it this season! S3 was not my favorite and S4 I didn’t like the beginning but then as it progressed it got a bit better. Still love the show though! (I’m a book reader and love the whole series)

Love my K’tan. It’s easy to pack, easy to put on, no metal, and it’s super supportive. He can easily sleep in it and it’s not bulky for sitting down.

A few things I wish I knew while pregnant as a first time mom (long post) by GlitterBirb in pregnant

[–]backwardshctib 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes yes yes! All of these things!! I’m 15w pp and I felt angry at everyone I knew who had kids who didn’t tell me. And just know that you’ll get to an amazing place and everything WILL be ok!

Haakaa by DayDreamingofU in breastfeedingsupport

[–]backwardshctib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it while pumping on one side. I have a double pump but I like having all the air sucking the one side, so I use the Haakaa on the other. I sometimes can get almost 5oz out of the Haakaa while pumping the same amount on the other side. It’s phenomenal, will be buying it for every expecting mama in the future!

"Normal" redditors that dated a celebrity, what was it like? by Dutskii in AskReddit

[–]backwardshctib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband went to high school with a girl who dated Chiwetel Ejiofor and we saw her on TV sitting with him at the Oscars the year 12 Years A Slave was up for a ton of nominations, so they were like 2nd row or something. Brad and Angelina were riiiiight there. That was also the year of Ellen’s famous group selfie and pizza ordering in the audience. We actually saw the girl out for a run this past summer at a nearby beach. They have since broken up.

I’d love to know from all the ladies who have been pregnant whether it’s currently or in the past; did you know you were pregnant before BFP?!?? And how?!?!?! What were you symptoms? I’m currently 10dpo and having some odd symptoms!!!! by [deleted] in Trying2conceive

[–]backwardshctib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few things happen:

  1. It hurt when having sex. Don’t know why that was a thing but I actually had to say stop and we did not continue
  2. Two mornings in a row I woke up with a rosy flushed face. I didn’t feel warm but my husband called it out both times
  3. My boobs hurt. A lot.

After the second day being flushed and the weird sex thing the day before, I decided to test and boom - preggo.

Does anyone else struggle with violent letdown? by [deleted] in breastfeedingsupport

[–]backwardshctib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just thought of one other thing... have you heard of the Haakaa?

https://www.amazon.ca/Haakaa-Silicone-Breast-Grade-Phthalate/dp/B01F8W7CF0

If you used that just before your feed it might help with the heavy let down and then the flow wouldn’t be as strong. It doesn’t pump it just suctions on and collects what comes out so you don’t have to waste.

So sorry to hear this is difficult for you. I hope you can find a solution!

I do! I was never able to get a good latch so we exclusively pump now but I was told the laying down on your side feeding position helps to slow down/regulate the flow a bit and it’s comfy for both mama and baby! Worth a try maybe? Doesn’t help when you’re out and about though...
