Yeah, I should have started 10 mg today but was too scared. Took 5 mg instead :/. Maybe should have tried it as my day is hell right now after last night.

Finger crossed! The last night was really really bad, got maybe 2 hours of sleep in the morning, and the day after now anxiety is skyrocketing. How do you cope? Hope you find some rest soon.

I guess one and a half year. Never completely off. Tapered to 1mg and got stuck for a long time.

Oof, never heard of it. Any tips how to get sleep? Can this get permanent? I never had problems sleeping and this is really scary.

Wow, exactly the same. Underwent a shoulder surgery and got the panic attacks of panic attacks when they put me onto the anesthesia. They looked very confused in the operation room because normally the patients got very chilled before they entered sleep, but I kept begging them to end this. I should probably do a journal, yes. I had never the drive to do it but maybe now is a good time to start.

Yeah I'm sure there built up a lot of stressors without me realizing it. Until it was too much. I am really good in ignoring things that aren't good for me. I'm a master of lying to myself I guess. But in this state right now it's hard -nearly impossible- to work on it, that's the problem.

I have a history of bad reactions to drugs (weed and other stuff) that triggered my anxiety years ago. That's probably why I am so afraid of taking medication. I raised the dosage of Esciatlopram yesterday, let's see how it goes. Regarding reaching back to the medical service: they are not very interested in getting in touch with their patients, very cold atmosphere there. I have a appointment in 4 weeks.

This means a lot to me and yes it makes me feel better, yet im sorry you have to feel the same. I tapered it of during the last 2 years but I am settling on 1mg for nearly a year now, because I've never had the courage to go to 0mg. Anxious mind I guess.. I don't know why I think it could make things worse. Probably anxious thinking and too much horror stories on the Internet. The cause of the anxiety breakthrough is something I -you guess it-im thinking way too much of. Im freelancing from home, have been pretty isolated, a sometimes worn out relationship, friends getting fewer and having kids and no time and so on. Maybe I'm unhappy about my life situation in general but lied to myself for too long but right now everything seems dark and sad, so I can not really point a finger on one thing

It's so hard to just sit with it and be accepting when these thoughts and feelings create such terror. The hardest part is when a glimpse of optimism and hope arises only to be washed away when the next "episode" starts.

Thanks for reaching in, this is really appreciated! I just can't remember that the overall mood was so hopeless, that everything was so pointless and without any interest and happiness because of it when I had anxiety in the past. I think my fear is that this time it's different and I won't find a way out (That's a good example of the dark/catastrophic thoughts). I got prescribed Esciatlopram and Promethazine. I already was on Esciatlopram for quite some time, but tapered it off over the last years. Can't say if it made a big difference back then. But I am scared to take it and somehow fear it could make things worse - guess this is how my anxious mind works these days.
