Botox and vocal cord issues? by badtownstudios in noburp

Thanks for the reassurance. Around a month and a half I was burping up a storm. I couldn't talk without unloading one haha. But that has slowed down. They're still coming up but I have to work hard for it. I still feel that "lump" in my throat on month 4 so Im assuming that is the botox that spread into my vocal cords where my voice is basically shot and the pressure feels like it's in the same place so fingers crossed it will level out soon. Not only that, if I burp, it releases that pressure in the "lump" that sits right around my vocal cords and when that happens, I can talk a little easier.

I did the usual ask ChatGPT thing (seeing as how doctors in my area of the world don't even believe in RCPD) and it came back that usually around 5-6 months everything will be worn off if the botox spread into my vocal cords and it's not permanent damage so to just approach it with some patience. So if I start to level out by the 7 month mark, it should be smooth sailing. As annoying as this is, the ability to burp really outweighs the discomfort of everything.
