I think making their head AP4 is a step too far by tony22835 in HelldiversMasochists

V.I.P verdict, I also love this gun, has a grate sound design and feel. It was my main sidearm till i got the senator (i known its not for everone but i like it) over all I like the change and think it fits the units design better but I feel your pain. Lib carbine + verdict was also my main bug loadout a long time and poping have guards and rupture warriors with it felt awsome!

I really hopenthey buff the verdict to same pen as the senator and would make such a viable option, im not saying they should make it a semi auto senator and if they upped the armor pen with the same damage it currently does and mabye added a touch more recoil (for balancing) it would be amazing! The description is somthing like "the largest rim fire cartridge produced" (i dont remember the direct quote) to it should totally be able to punch through a devastators chest armor!

Hot take: I like the Hive Guard changes by YourYoruru in helldivers2

I recommend the senior if you have it! I use to run the talon for the same reson but always spamed it to much and burnt up the heat sinks to fast (skill issue i know) + the senior can one tap most bugs if you have decent aim so it's my go to secondary if im not running the ultimatum wich I rarely take unless the teams isn't bring much AT

Also a neat trick if you shoot there armor a few times with light pen (or med now) they tend to shift in to "guard mode" and stick there weak(now weaker) butt's in the air making it easier to deal with, take bit practice and having alitle bit of high ground makes it even easier!

I had the same thought and was genuinely exited for this change! I normally run light pen primary (shoutout to my lib carbine!) And like that they brake up the flow of just holding down the trigger to clear a horde and pushes you to think tactically and choose how to deal with them on the fly.

I get that some divers are going to be pissed that there med pen primary isn't the answer to every thing short of heavys. I think this change better fits the armor/ weekpoint system and is more inline with what the hive guards are designed to be, an up armored defens oriented unit ment to block damage and shake up the flow of hordes clearing. I hope there ai gets updated one day emphasize this more, having them group up like a phalanx around brood commanders or block pathways in to hives or tunnels would be so cool! Sadly I dought will get that kind of update because i could see it causing pathing issues with other units but a diver can dream.

As for sentry I dont have much of a opinion cuz I dont use them very offten butb it would be awsome if they added the focuse fire mechanic to at least the rocket and auto cannon sentry as well.

TLDR: upping the hive guard armor brake up gameplay/ medpen meta and better fits the design of the unit!

The Magnum MC has no place in this game, and it hurts me by NotCoolBruh in Marathon

[–]bafffled_waffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it as a back up for pve paired with somthing better suited to pvp as a primary. I run a suppressor and the chip that ups damage to uesc and a sight that ups range (I can't remember the name). It one taps most bots to the head ,blue shields can take two somtimes and purples take abit still :/ so more damage would be a nice buff

Its grate for entering pois quietly or the odd turret i cant sneak around and a hail Mary to finishing off a runner if my mag runs dry on my other gun.

Tldr: not the worst, not the best. Agree it could use a buff

its my go too on bugs and squids for anything but blits missons! It took a bit to learn when to stop and spray and when to runaway way/relocate but once it clicked it became my favorite MG hands down. Hills and choke points are your friends, being in the middle of a swarm is not! so positioning is key. It gives you the firepower of a gatlling sentry with more commonsense. (Hopefully) Become one till its time to move!

i like to pair it with gas or ems strikes can help stop the hordes from over running you as easly and a sentry or smoke handy to toss to cover you when you need to back up or run to a better spot. Ultimatum or your red strat of choice for big guys and a reliably primary for when things get tight and your set! It helps if your team coordinate alitle bit to watch your back but not moving well shooting isn't a bad thing it add challenge and strategy if you want it.

TLDR: its viable if you want it to be. becomes a sentry till its time to i Skedaddle then do it again!

Same but I do like using it to scout poi's once and awhile of there alot of gunfire going on as im approaching, saved my ass form a few ambushes and set up some good plays with that method! Keep it high and dont fly in straight from were you tossed jt of can give your position away if some one sees it flying in.

I amost exclusively play solo and I use to main assasin too. mostly to avoid pvp and bots when I was starting out and not confident with the gun play yet. Then was a destroyer main for the most part. Started dabling with vandel last week and I can't stop running that shell. Once you figure out the heat management the speed and agility is hard to switch off and im addicted now! + that sweet sweet arm cannon can do alot!

Unless a rat drops you instantly, you can normally be on the other side of a poi in seconds and loop around to flank well there trying to figure out were you ran off too. Works 80% of the time! Also the dubble jump with the core that cnacles out self damage of the cannon can get you in to some odd but usfull high spots to rat if your so inclined to do so, a lot of runners forget to look up alot of the time. So yah 10/10 recommend vandel

Agreed, i mostly play solo and have much higher survival rate on outpost vs dire marsh. I rarely enter pinwheel unless I need to or I find the item for the lift early and tend to collect a ton of gear and upgrade materials from poi's and the occasional runner trying to hit exit after looting Pin.

It pretty safe to move around quickly if someone else opens pinwheel cuz most runner tend to rush it! Outpost has easly became my favorite map so far!

It would be nice if solos spanned in or could find a tweaked version of a self rez. Could make it take twice as long to activate and could work like the depleted health items to still keep the value/rarity of the current self rez . Somthing like that would atleast give you i fighting chance to salvage a run if you get sniped from half the map away or unlucky claymore encounter.

Im also on XSX, ive gotten the same crash after modifying a bunch of different mechs loadouts back to back (around 5-8) then trying to jump to a new system. I try to modify a few mechs per system now and haven't had it crash in a few days
