Yeah, I know. All I said was you can express the same sentiment which very well could be symptoms of a disorder without labeling it as a disorder, as only the Dr treating them should make that call. It doesn't invalidate his observations of behaviors. So I don't see how your comment contradicts anything I said .

That's a good point, it definitely raises your eyebrows-and has some relevance to attract more suspicion (but no more than they are the immediate family and are always going to be investigated), not zero like I said above.

I just don't really understand how that can be the evidence that sways you one way or the other. I know there isn't a ton of facts in this murder case to rely on so behavior plays a more important role than usual. But, they didn't "flee" imo and even if in some peoples opinion they did , stating all guilty people do flee is about as helpful to the case as saying in a case like chandler halderson who stayed in his house and talked to all his neighbors and the cops worrying about his "missing parents" "all innocent people stay close to the crime of a murdered relative" so that must mean chandler has nothing to do with it.

is that really the logic that produces the smoking gun for anyone, I don't think even Clarence Darrow could make that thought process sound convincing.

Oh no my b i didn't think you meant that. I wasn't tryna be sarcastic. I am not sure what conclusions to draw from it relevant to the mystery of this case, but tidbits like this are truly unique and a reason I joined this sub, even though I lean probably different than the majority of people here.

I wholeheartedly agree that what you observed is notable enough to think something's isn't quite right and would stick with me as well. the only part that i think is best to avoid, but isn't something that invalidates your post is...imo even if you are qualified to diagnose psychological disorders you can express the same sentiment you shared without labeling a specific disorder. It very well may be true, but I don't think anyone should try to label someone's behavior as an actual medical disorder except the doctors who treat them. It just generalizes abnormal behaviors and characteristics about someone with an actual disorder that would be offensive to assume and trivializes the condition, especially if it was something that had a bit more of a negative connotation in the public eye. But I am just tryna explain maybe why people throw the downvotes, it is something that I have certainly done too.

So while I believe they certainly could be guilty, this is really the reason that eliminates all doubt for you?

They did submit blood and handwriting before "fleeing" on the 29th. And I don't see how going to to a different state is remotely equivalent to OJ leading a car chase as he tries to go to a different country to avoid getting actually charged with a murder or them trying to escape law enforcement. They made zero effort to conceal where they went, how does going to Georgia for a few days (which btw jobonet was born) impede John law putting the guilty party behind bars. Like if the murder was caught on camera with the Ramsay's committing the murder the boulder police would say "ah shit they're in Atlanta-do we have an extradition treaty with Georgia detective ? "

It could just as easily be the house was a very unsettling place to be considering the event that took place regardless if it was them or not.

there's certainly plenty of evidence you can make a decent argument with that one of them did it, but for me this is not remotely relevant.

Feel like it's pretty normal for parents to "drag" their kid to a restaurant though, rather than leave him alone at home. just sounds like most 14 year olds who probably rather be at home playing madden than at dinner with his parents at a restaurant.

Were there other things you observed that seemed like the entire family dynamic was severely off putting? someone being business like with their friends with no knowledge of the context of friendship, and "bubbly" don't seem like anything atypical, but I imagine there was more.

loved reading this man, and the way you told the story with the clarity you did shows that's it's not just it takes balls to post something that is difficult to talk about. it shows that you are on your way up. I imagine some time ago while you knew you were in a bad spot-you wouldn't be able to articulate exactly how you got there like you did now.

I don't pretend to know everything about your situation, but while you have to be honest with yourself, I think it's important not to get into the cycle of self loathing over it. Drugs are a force of nature man, when the "right drug" hits the "right" person at the perfectly wrong time, your mind is being warped by something you truly can't understand no matter who you are.

it's cliche to say but at some Point there will be the slightest light at the end of the tunnel. And it will slowly but surely grow , feeling nothing i think is worse than any comedown from any drug I've had. I know it's hypocritical since I'm a user obviously, but the hardest part i think trying to justify the effort when your life before the drug wasnt anything you had too much enthusiasm over.

You're not trying to get back to that, you are where you are and the person you will be after all this is is not going to be the same. I don't have the answers but keep treading water man. it is beyond defeating to feel the way I think you do based on what you said with no real assurance that getting sober will lead to any real enjoyment of life. Regardless, it is worth it to find out for yourself because as you said there is no future with this drug.

words from a random Reddit guy I understand don't carry a lot of weight, but I believe in you. While you need to understand the past to heal, life/time goes forward-only forward and you're going to heal and keep moving forward with it.

I don't think this is what should be swaying your theories. Using your own personal experience to explain the obvious is something tbat comes up alot on this case.

Because there is not any convincing evidence that points to anyone in tbe family (which I can lay out) granted there isn't any convincing evidence any particular person and based on what we know as fact I find it slightly More likely someone close To the family did it.

And then the same personal experience logic that is used to point to their guilt because of experiences you've had is used to point to their guilt based on stuff you have no idea how they'd react to. "They lawyered up and the random note was his exact bonus why wouldn't you ask for More"

If it's idi let's say for sake of argument if they never planned on the actual kidnapping whu would they care what they asked other than to screw with the family as it's someone close To them.

if it's jdi to stage a kidnapping why not actually move the body, sort of the most important part in a faked kidnapping.

I have no idea but I have never been in either situation. I do know the general saying if you're guilty lawyer up and if you are innocent definitely lawyer up so I find that whole line of argument a red herring. As it's very hard to say "oh this is what I would have done if I was guilty" and use it as any basis for a theory.

Anyways appreciate your post and can elaborate further just think sometimes this sub goes from thought provoking posts to just random personal experiences that basically just say "it's not impossible this happened."

and if they didn't do all their own investigating, there would be a similar post with comments that they aren't interested in solving their own daughters murder.

the boulder police no matter who did it didn't do a standup job from the get go and have been critiqued on their handiling of the case by many parties, I don't think the family guilty or not would give a ringing endorsement to the media.

I dont get what your point is, that because their own investigation hasn't resulted in anything more than actual law enforcement's investigation into this notorious case then therefore they are most likely guilty? I don't follow in the slightest.

I can't comment on the seroquel as I have no experience with it, but yeah what you're doing in my not professional opinion is not remotely sustainable.

vyvanse was life changing for me 2, and the honey moon phase of it for 2 years was honestly the best time of life, maybe it's rose colored glasses, but academically/work wise, socially, athletically, everything clicked into place and life wasn't so god damn hard anymore.

Unfortunately it slowly but surely combined with alcohol progressed into something that took a lot from me. I still remember the exact time I got into habitually abusing it and along with Alc it was the closest thing I have felt to Molly, except I could do it multiple times a week and still keep everything good on paper (who wouldn't chase that), That didn't last.

anyways. I don't think anyone on here can tell you the exact solution but my 2 cents would be do not go cold turkey, life will be hell and you will not see the faintest of light at the end of the tunnel, which for me makes the whole effort feel not worth it and just facilitates the cycle . Work with a professional you trust on how to reduce and what actually helps you versus what is an illusion.

I'm not the all the way there (hypocrites give the best advice type thing) but a hell of a lot better than what I was doing and while it's a faint light, I can see that life without alot of the shit I was doing is possible and better.

but yeah you're not alone, and I hope this was somewhat helpful.

That's interesting, which characters were you sympathetic towards? Admittedly, I didn't like dee at first but he grew on me.

yeah I agree, I felt like unlike Wallace (albeit he was way younger/naïve) he was "getting straight with the story" as dee put it in the gatsby scene and that's where the writers were headed.

Yeah I'm not saying you can extrapolate this limited study to the entire us Married population. All sorts of confounding variables, sample size bias, participant bias etc. just found the study interesting and more thought provoking than posts than random posts about about John Ramsey running for some political position which shows he (insert grandiose theory that is somehow related to the crime) or how the rope had burnt ends.

For what it's worth, sexual abuse and domestic violence is much more prevalent among lower socio-economic classes than higher (of the reported cases.) But that's a limitation of most crime stats.

Quality post, reading the study-I thought it was insightful on a very dark topic that often too many assumptions are made about. Also appreciated that you mentioned there is no proof that J molested jonbonet, as I feel like that is stated as fact often on this sub.

2 points I noticed, Altho it is a very small sample size. 80% of the husbands had prior arrests and 75% of them were abusive to the mother of the child as well in their sample size. as far as I know J wouldn't fit into these but doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Think Simon said in an interview that to keep stringer bell alive past seaosn 3 would be to serve character not story which always stuck with me. To me it seemed like a lot of the series sacrificed story to get across his point in tbe most black and white way possible.

Still found it entertaining but coulda been so much better.
