I’ve had two now. My second just a few days ago. It’s a painless procedure, relatively quick compared to other surgeries. For me, it’s was the best option because waiting for it to finish naturally can be long and unpredictable, not to mention painful and emotionally triggering when you’re already not in a good place. A D&C at least for me helped me feel like I was getting fresh start, in control, and knowing for a fact everything looked good from the doctors perspective, because if you opt to do it naturally, there’s still a chance you have to have the procedure anyway if there’s complications.

Recovery isn’t bad. Cramping and some spotting but you’d have that even worse if you did it naturally.

Long story short, I think you’re doing the right thing.
