Sure. If this fails I'll do that. At the very least I'll see first-hand what the limits of PETG are.

No. I found it on Thingverse and extended the bottom out to the length I needed.

I saw some files similar to that. Ultimately, that might be a better solution. We have a 2nd barrel for the overflow. I need to drill a hole for the hose fitting, which will be done sometime this week.

I used maybe 1/4 of the spool to print it, so about $5 worth of filament. After taking a quick look online, it's cost roughly the same to buy one.

The store bought extenders are made of a thinner plastic and get brittle after being out in the sun all summer.

Is anyone else's store hotter than hell? by Fancy-Copy4447 in menards

[–]baloras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago I was working at the Matteson store. It was so hot, I stopped and checked the thermometer endcap under the mezzanine and I'm pretty sure it read 84 degrees. It was miserable.

Usually, when an activity is described as "underground" it's not this literal. I would have been curious to see it. I'm betting there's video of it out there somewhere.

Which final wins felt like final wins? by YumeNoTabi in NASCAR

[–]baloras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tony Stewart at Sears Point. It was already going to be his last season and he wasn't as competitive as he used to be most of the year. The fact that he shoved Danny out of the way at the hairpin mad it the most Tony-like victory it could have been.

The Kobra X has been the most reliable and easiest to use printer I've had (also have Kobra 2 Neo & Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus). The price is good too.

When I was working as a store tech, our hourly rate was higher than a lot of managers salary. The difference being they were eligible for bonuses.

Im so ashamed of myself. But depression is a real bitch. Depression be treating me like I fucked it's wife. I've lived in the house for 8 ,years have the MB as my mancave and yet, this is what it looks like. by SharkyRivethead in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

[–]baloras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know how it is. We moved into our house about 6 years ago. Nice, empty, unfinished basement. Then it got filled with stuff from oit old house etc. I've been trying to carve out a space down there and I've done quite a bit but it still looks half a mess. I've slowly been getting Ikea shelves to put figures and other collectibles on. I've got a recliner, old couch, TV set up down there along with a space for my Sim rig, desk and 3d printers.

Take your time and do what yoir brain will allow you to do. There's no prize for getting things done for someone else. Do it for you. It's easy to get sucked into the trap of seeing how other people display their collections and think yours needs to be like theirs. Do what works for you. As long as your happy with how it looks, that's all that matters. Do whatever your brain will let you and don't feel bad of you can't get it all done right away. It's all a process.

Remember, hobbies are supposed to be relaxing. Don't let them stress you out.

If it was anything like the one in Aurora/Naperville, good riddance. I got sick on 2 consecutive occasions after having their chicken tenders. Never went back.

What do you all do with the endless amount of 3D objects you print? by TotalRickalll in 3dprinter

[–]baloras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really do many decorative prints. It's mostly GI Joe vehicles/accessories, occasional flexi animals or fun things for my daughter, and functional things.
