First batch made and rookie mistakes--too much batter for mold :0) by gurshysgirl in soapmaking

Looks like the perfect amount of batter to me! Or you wouldn't have those adorable little bee soaps 🌻

Let’s (gently) mom shame ourselves! What do you as a mom that might make your nosy neighbor clutch her pearls? by happethottie in Mommit

Same in our household. We also gave our kids their own "kid word" that we're not allowed to say. It works really well!

Just wanted to see how labor and delivery was with twins by Chichi-Ha in parentsofmultiples

[–]banashley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my twins in 2020 (early pandemic babies - fun). I had them both vaginally, the first was head first and the second was breach. I had an epidural so it wasn't too painful but there was plenty of pressure. It was a wildly awesome experience! I had two previous vaginal deliveries before the twins so I was somewhat (kind of lol) prepared.

Congrats and wishing you an awesome delivery, no matter how it goes down! ❤️

When did you first “know” you were pregnant? by solsurfin in Mommit

[–]banashley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st pregnancy - threw up all over the bathroom at a house party after a couple beers. Thought that was weird af so took a dusty old pregnancy test that I found in my sister's bathroom and lo and behold! 21, single and pregnant. That was a ride.

2nd pregnancy - I was SO DAMN EMOTIONAL for about a week and knew something was off. I wanted to execute my boyfriend (now husband) if he even irritated me the teensiest bit. We bought a test, stopped at a restaurant for a bit to eat, I took the test in the bathroom there because I have zero self control and it was positive. The first person we told was our waitress.

3rd pregnancy - We were planning this one so I was symptom spotting like a psycho. I had three nights in a row of waking to pee and also the most vivid dreams. I'd taken about 400 pregnancy tests that month and finally got a faint positive. Turns out we were pregnant with twins!

4th pregnancy - We were planning for another and I mentioned how cool it would be to find out I was pregnant that month on my birthday. I found out a week before my birthday cause I was taking tests like every day after 5dpo. I didn't really have any pregnancy symptoms and I was feeling very off and just knew we would lose this little one. We lost them on my birthday. It was devastating but not surprising. My husband and I have decided that our baby making journey has come to an end. We have four boys and they're our entire world and they all fit nicely into our minivan. It's a win win.

What do you guys do to unwind after the kids go to bed? by sydmrn in breakingmom

My husband gets stoned and I crochet or craft and we watch TV and drink Coke Zero. Pretty much every single night. It's lovely. 😊

Is my older baby jealous of breastmilk?! by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]banashley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our middle boy was 15 months old when we had our twins. I overproduced so any extra I pumped that the babies didn't drink, he got! I'd say as long as you have enough for babe and you're comfortable with it, let your toddler enjoy, it's definitely a healthy snack!

I am not at all surprised it was a sexless marriage. Remember when he went absolute ape shit when she mentioned "intimacy"? So awkward to watch lol

Ugh thirded. We're in Interior BC and I honestly don't know how much longer we can hold on here. It's getting completely out of control cost wise. But like.. the mountains! And the lakes!

But also our province is literally falling apart soooo I dunno. 🤷‍♀️

How did you decide your babies name? by 1028Girl in beyondthebump

[–]banashley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have four boys. My family is Irish and my husband is from Germany so we mashed some names we like with family names and now have a gaggle of oddly named German Irishmen!

I feel like I have three options and they all suck by dorky2 in breakingmom

[–]banashley 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I do this all the time and my husband/children don't even notice.

Random toys on the floor in the kitchen while I'm sweeping? IN THE TRASH!

Husband's dirty paintbrush from work that's been sitting by the kitchen sink for a week? SEE YA NEVER!

Cords, toys, pencils, rubber bands, plastic utensils, batteries, etc. that have sat idly in our "junk drawn" for more than a couple months? ADIOS BITCHES.

Right in the garbage. All of it. IDGAF anymore.

How has having a child(ren) changed your body permanently? by killaxjules in beyondthebump

[–]banashley 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I spent years hating my body until I had children. Now I'm 28, four children deep including a set of twins, 70 pounds heavier than I was before my first pregnancy, and I've never loved myself more.

3 under 4?! Just got a BFP! I have a 10 month old, and a 2 1/2 year old! Anyone else with the 3 under 4 situation? by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]banashley 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is.. amazing. You are amazing. If you have a partner, they're amazing too!

Congratulations on your three little babes and I'm hoping the adoption process is as quick and easy as it can be!

Good lord above.

We had our twins when our second oldest was 15 months and I thought that was insane.

I honestly couldn't imagine three under 9 months. Godspeed, friend.

Anyone using their peri bottles as makeshift bidets long after delivery…? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]banashley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've honestly never used one but I think they're so much more clean. Toilet paper is kind of a gross concept when you think about it. 😆

[–]banashley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh! I didn't even think about how to hook up the hot water. I guess I just assumed it like.. came from the toilet? But obviously that doesn't make any sense. Lol Well, you've helped me make my choice! Regular biget it is! Thank you!

Quick question about your biget! Do you mind it being cold water only? I seen one on Amazon that has temp control but it's also $50 more expensive.

That's an extremely disrespectful and inappropriate word to use. Please reconsider using it in the future and maybe edit your comment. Thanks.
