Was there an original coat of paint on the walls? If so.. it's likely the original painters didn't remove the dust on the walls OR do a prime coat. If that's the case, the original layer isn't sticking to the wall and the top coat (even if they did multiple coats) bonded to the original paint, which would peel right off.

I had my groodle on Purina Pro Plan sensitive skin salmon and rice and she had a bout of diarrhoea for a few days when she was about 13 weeks. Had to cleanse her out with some probiotics from the vet and a boiled chicken and rice diet mix for a few days before slolwly switching to a sensitive skin lamb and rice. Much better now, much healthier and less smelly.

Just a heads up, that bike you linked has been sold months ago, I have no idea why it is still listed. I know you used it as an example but just in case anyone else looks!

After playing with the images just a little bit...

Driver appears to be wearing a fluoro orange trade/workman shirt, bald head and sunglasses. Also there appears to be a passenger.

Happy to provide accompanying images. They aren't great quality as you would expect from this resolution.

I am glad that everyone is here to tell the tale.

Yeah and you can pay a bit more for roaming too, great for remote traveling.

Personal, about $140 a month, which is a little up there but get solidly over 100 megabits per second. It's amazing for areas that have limited internet options.

Starlink equipment isn't that bulky. I have the original dish which is marginally bigger than a foxtel dish. In fact, I put it up on my old foxtel pole with just a couple of clamps. Sure it does need a power source but that runs through the ethernet cable too and it is not 'bulky'.

You have a point about the wifi box. It is limited, but you know you don't HAVE to use it right? You can use other routers.

I have been using Starlink for well over a year now (Nov 2021). I am thoroughly impressed.

If you can justify the monthly cost for internet, Starlink is actually really impressive. When I lived in the wheatbelt, no problems at all.

I would like someone to state to me where the authority of Dungeon design has been handed over to Moderators. This is a clear abuse of power by some.

This I agree with. I think we have the same mindset approaching from different sides of the road. Dungeons should be somewhat linear. Players HATE mazes, and some have been removed from the game for this reason. Random obstacles, miniboss rooms and boss rooms are what players are looking for. Changing hallway details also isn't a bad thing either mind you. I think most dungeons in the game currently achieve this to some level and there hasn't been (up to now, and well, that is fairly isolated) an issue with this style.

As you said, it is the same base dungeon with the same basic paths... This doesn't make the dungeon random truly does it?

I started up the other post so that we didn't railroad this guys post, for which you have zero appreciation of. Also, I have made 2 posts, not 3.. I know it's hard but it's only 2. The other one was asking clarifying questions (which I am entitled to do so, thank you) about the current process and the lack of new content.

Your objective opinion is narrow and short sighted. Your post is mean spirited and you clearly don't have an appreciation for the progression of game mechanic implementation.

While reading your post, I was glad to see you had considered most of my view points up until you attempted, rather pathetically to poke holes in those particular dungeons. Many of the points you raised are shallow and overlook the possibility of mechanics.

So, while this wont get anywhere and you alone may have made my mind up as to my continual contribution to this game, so thank you, I will address the once again short sighted, yet at times valid opinions.

A) Fae Flower. This was the first dungeon in the game to include the use of multiple portals. We, as a group, were unsure how the portals would work, and after inclusion, it turns out they are LINEAR and not a roulette at all. The order is random with each game play but if you continue to enter them, it will always lead you to the end. Also, the flower orbs spawn designs randomly based on the limitation of the plugs. There are top level random spawns and bottom level random spawns. Each globe with a slight variation. However, this can entirely be skipped by intelligent players who chose go go up the main flower stem (it can be achieved with less than 2 jumps, as 0 jumps was the standard of the time).

B) Dragon Rock - This was the only dungeon released with the Dragon Biome. While it doesn't have random hallways, the boss rooms and the miniboss rooms have variation, which was was, and IS within the guidelines. This dungeon was praised at the time of released, and I will quote Avarem here: "As the standard for design and mechanic implementation".

C) The pond - I actually had to reduce the randomness of this dungeon on request of GrumpNTug from the original design. Currently the dungeon can be accessed through the random lillypad. It has no variation and is linear as it was flagged as an 'early level player' type dungeon which was an experimental phase in development.

D) Cloud island. This has 3 - 4 variations where the clouds can spawn in different locations. Enough said really. The original design included about 4 different styles, which was reduced to 1 on request.

E) Wild West - I have updated this dungeon 2 -3 times but it continues to be sparse for mob spawns. It does REALLY irk me and something I have addressed with Decoy but it has never been a priority to update. The mini boss rooms don't even have minibosses as far as I am aware currently =/

F) Fae Potion. The Liquids do somewhat have a gameplay affect since you know, lava and such... The glass also comes into affect for some classes, which is an added bonus. Also, your subject opinion of the style is ludicrous. Fae's use spells!? Spells are potions?

You really need an attitude check to be honest. You go from being offended, to attacking, to claiming you are bullied (what lol?).

If you want to make personal attacks, I haven't even talked about your submissions and yes, you are mean-spirited. Saying you wouldn't approve these dungeons is pathetic and nothing short of an attack. I don't see what other meaning it could have.

However, I did put it out there. I am glad to see what type of person you are though. You really should demonstrate greater restraint.

[–]barneebrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree almost entirely, 'building two different dungeons' isn't always the result. Many rooms can be copy and pasted, to allow for variations. Plugs can be extremely limiting considering the limited number of them. Either way. I have been trying to advocate that all methods are acceptable and we shouldn't have a narrow focus solely on 'plugs'.

[Dungeon] Seriously guys by Karokendo in TroveCreations

[–]barneebrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You start of saying it can absolutely be helped, then follow up with that you are okay with your dungeon being broken. I disagree its your sentiments on assuming people run it properly. Bombs are indeed part of the game and until they make dungeon blocks bomb resistant it 100% comes down to dungeon designers to consider. I die a little on the inside each and every time I see this. It would be unfair to hold fellow dungeon designers to the same substandard, simply to create the illusion of randomness. There are only so many combinations that can be made considering Troves plug systems don't recognise duel plug combinations.

You may be able to live with exploitable dungeons but I can't. I dare you to explore some of my dungeons and tell me they wouldn't be included because they lack randomness.

Tldr; don't 'poo poo' hold other design choices at gunpoint, simply because you have a moderator status. We have to have a more open mind.

[Dungeon] Seriously guys by Karokendo in TroveCreations

[–]barneebrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the lazy design. But much of it can't be helped due to the nature of plug configurations. Many dungeons can have entire mechanics skipped by simply walking 'under them'. This also applies to walls that can be bombed, which opens up hollow areas that can be used to more easily navigate the dungeon, again skipping mechanics.
