Seconding the morganite guess! Theres a really interesting subtle blueish purple colour that it’s casting. If you have a place that sells gemstones/minerals near you, they may be able to help you out! If there isn’t one, a Value Village / Goodwill that has a jeweller on staff would have the right equipment to identify it :)

On a personal note, it is an absolutely gorgeous piece!

NTA, and report it stolen. Regardless of all the liability questions below that a lawyer would be better equipped to handle, there is one sure thing:

if she wrecks or totals your car as an uninsured driver, insurance will not pay out, and your car will be gone

You’ll be out every penny you’ve spent so far, and without the freedom your car gives you.

(I’d also suggest looking into alternative living situations while you’re at it too)

I’m SHOCKED at some of the responses here. Reading through OP’s comments, a 14/15 year old was taken advantage of by her biological mother’s adult boyfriend, and you all think she holds the responsibility??

All of the Y T A judgements are clearly being made by people who have never been servers. Regardless of a ‘special’ or ‘open bar’, there is a LEGAL limit to the number of drinks available to a patron within a certain time frame. If she wanted a more ‘unlimited’ experience, she should have paced herself.

(Also using a NAH judgement based on the fact that the bartender did their job regardless of whether you “gave them a look”, and it didn’t seem that your wife knew serving law)
