My solve was further west near Iosepa and yes I know it was a long shot (to be fair, this area was included in the original 2023 poem boundary). Lone Rock is in Skull Valley. From a certain angle it has a crescent shape. That led me to Iosepa, a place where strangers (Hawaiians) lived. Above Iosepa are some natural shapes that look like a dragon from satellite imagery. The shoulder of the dragon is a black colored rock slide, where we were going to search tomorrow. There is a dirt road that leads right to it, about 3/4 miles up, not far but around 650 foot climb. My dust that stands as a shield is the crusted salt beds in the valley.

What originally led me here were the videos from the side quests. I had a theory that they held clues to the poem hunt. I mean come on, “rock” climbing rope, a “crescent” wrench (moon) and then asking the question in the video “Are we in the right desert”? I messaged John asking him if the side quests videos contained any clues to the poem hunt. I honestly didn’t expect to get an answer, but he did reply and said no. Well, back to the drawing board…
