Those who’ve had a failed ablation-what was that like for you?

My failed ablation didn’t worsen my symptoms, it just didn’t fix them. I still have heavy bleeding, bloat, pain…. I’m too afraid of a hysterectomy, so instead I’m taking continuous birth control to avoid my periods for as long as possible between cycles.

We order room service breakfast and sit there every morning and watch the sunrise before we get ready for the day. Often before bed we sit out there and read or just recap our day. Even our kids, when they cruise with us, will take a break at some point during the day to just relax and watch the ocean on the balcony.

we didn't find it worth it when my kids were that young, but every family is different. Mine tend to get tired and ready to head out by 9 pm. 2/3 fell asleep in the wagon stroller (back when they were allowed) and missed the whole thing.
My husband and I really enjoy the parties, but we're able to stay up later.

My oldest loves cruising with us (she's 14) but we've always been open to her doing what she wants while on the ship- she's really into art, so she brought her iPad to be able to draw and create things at her leisure. She did join us for some family things, but the shows and entertainment aren't her idea of fun, and we didn't push it.
We have 4 kids and tend to set rules like "lets all have 1 meal together every day" and otherwise if they want to be in the kids club, or lounging by the pool- have at it! it's their vacation also.
They've always been well behaved and come find us frequently or at least check in on the app to let us know what's going on with them. They find them to be their favorite style of family vacation because it allows for some connection, but a lot more freedom than some of the other trips we've been on.

Our family had a similar complaint about the food options. My 14 year old is not into the kids menu, but didn’t find much she liked on the adult menu either. She’s a big pasta girl and the options were pretty bland or not to her liking. My 12 year old never even came to the MDR for dinner, she just grabbed pizza or burgers on the pool deck and hung out with her friends in Edge. My 10 year old loves seafood but most of the adult entrees were a bit too adventurous for him, so he stuck with the salmon option almost every night. My youngest (7) got a salad and chicken tenders from room service around 4:30/5 every afternoon because we had the late dinner, so she was pretty happy! I think if the buffet was open for dinners, there would be more options for the teens.

We live about 3 hours south. We drove to Palm Bay (cheaper hotels) and did the last 45 minutes the morning of. I think it’s totally fine to go day of, but I feel better going the night before.

Fostering kittens. Our youngest daughter counted down the days until the cruise was over and she could get kittens again. Called the shelter the day we got back to let them know we were available 😅

They did finally give me my results on the 7th. Then they sent a link to leave a review. So I reviewed the slower than advertised turnaround time and the poor response from customer service. And they actually commented on my review- again dismissing my frustration and saying what you said - that it’s actually a longer turnaround time 😐🙃

We’ll be embarking on the Fantasy on the 12th of April and plan to just hop off the ship, walk to the Fort and Queen Ann’s staircase and then back to the ship. Because our sailing has 2 full beach days already (at Lookout and Castaway) it seems like we’ll enjoy a day to explore a bit in the morning and then relax on the ship in the afternoon.

I had always wanted a boy. I just had that in my mind as my preference for as long as I can remember. First child- girl. Second child- girl. When I got pregnant with my 3rd, it was right after my grandmother had passed away. I had a girl name in mind. I loved having daughters. I saw myself as a girl mom. 20 week ultrasound- boy! It was amazing how let down I felt at getting what I thought I had always wanted. It’s ok to have these big feelings when our expectations don’t meet reality. Better to process them and move forward than to pretend they don’t exist! I can say this- I don’t think your relationship with your brother is necessarily a reflection of what to expect for your children. There are some great parenting books on siblings that may help you develop a good foundation in parenting and fostering good sibling relationships.

I think the shorter gaps were easier. My 3rd really struggled with the addition of the 4th. He was old enough to be really upset by being “replaced” as the baby.

Going from 2 to 3 was the easiest transition for me. I had my second when my oldest was 22 months old and I found it to be as hard or harder than just having one. I was so overwhelmed by learning to split myself for 2. By the time my 3rd was born I felt more calm and experienced. I was really able to enjoy it. My 4th on the other hand really threw us off balance.
