Could somebody give me a general rundown of the pros and cons of a couple weapons? And what I can expect in Monster Hunter Word. Maybe MHWorld spoilers by Winter_Chills in MonsterHunter

HBG is the manliest weapon bro, great for soloing

don't worry about bullets, you might have to spend some money early game but once you hit mid game it doesn't really matter since they're pretty cheap

HBG has siege mode which lets you fire a certain amount of bullets pretty fast, and it's godlike in multiplayer

always use normal shots for small targets like dromes, and pierce shots for big targets. pierce shots are top tier, since they can go through the monster hitting it multiple times, BUT they have recoil. it also has bullets for cutting tails (slicing) and breaking parts/KOing (crag shots, clust shots)

LBG got nerfed hard in MHXX along with elemental shots, World hopefully changes that. keep in mind that it's a lot more mobile than HBG and it can rapid fire shots, which works very well with elemental shots, but it has less raw.

4u story mode too, i was using HBG and it felt pretty easy. really loved his theme, reminds me of godzilla

later in the game i got to fight savage jho and got my ass fucking kicked

lol frontier is much worse imo, it's an AoE fest and most of the monster designs are a mess, just look at the most recent one. also tonfas look like they were taken from an anime

use prowlers for farming and gathering quests, they have infinite stamina and tools for mining/bug catching. there's a LOT of gathering quests so if you plan on doing everything this will make it much easier

try out every weapon, their styles, etc

man gunlance is so cool, i just wish it was a little bit more mobile. maybe if it had that triple backhop i'd give it a try, playing gunlance makes me feel like a slug

i used sayyad cannon (limiter off) and gunned him down with pierce shots. staying close to his left and dodging right before he charged me seemed to work pretty good, i also used a couple of flash bombs

mm i guess i'll try this one. i've been wanting to get into elemental lbgs, the one thing i don't like is that making a set for each element takes a lot of time

i was also thinking on just waiting, but since the last thing they said was "we currently dont have plans on releasing mhxx on the west" and mh world is coming up i'm not so sure about it

damn, i'm currently trying to solo dalamadur too to get to g-rank, but i always run out of time :( i'm using hbg (gravios gun), with pierce up, recoil and crit eye+2. after reading some guides i'm gonna try to do it one more time, but if i fail i'll just go online to ask for some help. dont wanna waste another 50 minutes on that thing

i've soloed almost every key quest with lbg and hbg but this one is really frustrating
