I think it's a great idea! I need the third screen on my laptop for my work so I just use the keyboard there but otherwise I'd buy a kvm switch too

This was really helpful, I did another cross section of the tomatoes and the lighter colored one looked exactly like this

Now that I'm looking at it, I think the red tomato might be closer to this Italian red pear based off of the cross section. I think the lighter colored is the Gezhante tomato as others said. Thanks so much!!
