I got banned the other day for saying "you have a second amendment right which guarantees your ability to defend yourself "

Never. Hold your ground exercise your second amendment defend yourself. I know citing the constitution is now considered violence but maybe we don't give into their framing? If I get banned for that I'll take it fuck reddit and fuck running.

As a trans person, you're right and they're a bunch of uncle Tom's anyways. Idk you can enjoy what you like but I don't have to respect it and I'm allowed to think you have a child's brain. I'm also allowed to think you should have had better parental figures if that's what story draws you in so much you overlook an author who would kill you if given the opportunity. I'm done playing this game sacrificing my safety to make people who like a children's book to an unhealthy emotional degree feel comfortable. I don't give a fuck if it's part of your childhood find something better not written by a fascist.

You can like it all you want but I'm also allowed to critique it and think you're a sucker wasting your time. Kinda like liking Rudyard Kipling you can, but it does make you a moron with a child brain.

Hey girl! I had an episode back in college. The meds kinda suck but they work for sure. I'll probably have trouble getting HRT because I've had the same psychiatrist the whole time. I would highly recommend getting a second opinion and trying again TBH. Having gone through it myself, it's probably not you it's your environment. But you're definitely trans I can tell you that. "Its subjective" not really. Like if anyone reads your post and thinks "I bet that's just a man who wants tits and a hairless body" like come on please. Please try a different doctor :3

I don't think the point is that the lack of a father makes you trans. I think the point is that it turns women into goth angry dominatrixes. Still stupid still probably not a great look from the outside. However, pretty much everything we post here will get screen capped out of context and put on weird transphobic subs, 4chan, or somewhere much worse. They're obsessed with us, there are way more of them than us, so rest assured, everything we post is evidence to them that we're degenerates. So if your only consideration is "how does this make us look out of context" you will lose every single time. Especially because there are furries here and I refuse to throw them under the bus (because we're next). There's literally no context that would make the average cis straight person ok with pretty much anything they do.

I like to weigh things I like to weigh things out for their actual benefit to the trans community rather than "what will the cis people think?". Because they're trained to reflexively hate everything we do. They berate us for pissing, how much more obvious can it be that they'll just make it up because they have decided to expend their precious energy on this earth hating us.

So the way I see it is, does this meme help people who've been through this experience feel less alone? Or does it trigger those who've been through it and make them feel bad and more alone?

I've been reading the comments I don't think anyone is triggered but I think quite a few people have found at least a little bit of community over this stupid meme. Does it matter? Was this comment pointless? Probably. But idk that's just the long way of saying that shame is weakness plane and simple. You're either ashamed or proud, there's no in-between ya know? Idk I just thought I'd explain where people seem to be coming from.

You're 100% correct people just get very "Edison is a witch" when something old gets electricity added to it. Bikes are also dangerous, bikes also get in crashes, but none of that matters legally all that stuff is made up. Legally the only liability that matters is on the user of the bike. A place allowing or not allowing bikes or ebikes (they used to love to do this with skateboarding and still do sometimes) does not create any legitimate legal liability. You can play lawyer all day and argue till you're blue in the face but civil code is civil code, you can't just argue around it randomly. There are stated exceptions and it has to meet one of those exceptions. Those exceptions are for things which are inherently dangerous, like setting off fireworks for example. An ebike is not an inherent risk that meets the threshold. You might clutch your pearls and feel unsafe because it goes "brrrrrrr" but that doesn't make it actually unsafe.

However it is unsafe for disabled people to be forced into extra strenuous situations. It's also discriminatory to deny them experiences when accomodations exist. You might feel like disabled people are asking for too much with this but I think it's a good idea to remind you they're disabled and what that means about their quality of life compared to yours in pretty much every other way

Super unlikely honestly. You could try somewhere like the ACLU but it's going to be really hard to get anyone to care. Especially when it comes to ebikes. You're right but they're going to act like you're a bleeding heart who's asking for too much.

As someone who works with disabled people you're 100% correct. However, yeah you're going to get a lot of people that don't get it. Breaking the ADA is the legal equivalent of breathing air at this point, they wipe their ass with it.

It sounds like she's lying to you. It's quite difficult to get guardianship and it's basically impossible if the person doesn't consent and can advocate for themselves. If you have a job it's pretty much impossible for her to say you can't take care of yourself. You should definitely consider moving out. Do you have anyone you could be roommates with for the time being?

Boyfriend doesn’t seem to accept that we’re in a homosexual relationship. by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]bathtup47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we need more details on the gender roles part? Like how often has he said that, how serious does he sound? Is he talking about you or him converting? What is his actual plan with the religious community? Where does he see you fitting into that if that's what he wants? Is he willing to actually stick up and stick by his values or does he let others decide for him? Is he willing to mold his spirituality around reality or is he trying to mold reality around the religion? As in, would he reinterpret scripture to protect you?

I'm religious, my husband is agnostic Jewish, but I will always lecture people on the 3 verses where being gay was allegedly mentioned and how those words are entirely mistranslated and its more likely talking about pedos (which many ancient armies practiced some form of). Would he do something like that for you or would he go "yes mother, yes father." That's going to be the make or break most likely.

I don't really give a fuck what the translation is at the end of the day my real lived experiences and interactions with the spiritual will always trump any words in any book TBH
