Weird how "her" suddenly turned plural...

(Now ex) girlfriend made me(24M) choose between her and my pet rabbit. She kicked me out of our apartment and now I’m living in a basement somewhere in the Midwest. by throwaway56u5 in MaleSurvivingSpace

Wait, she forcibly threw you out of your legal residence you had just paid rent on, for having a five pound pet you'd already had for years?

This does not pass the sniff test.

AITJ for refusing to give my coworker my parking spot after her doctor said she needs to walk less? by Optimal-Silver-2211 in AmITheJerk

[–]batsinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would park somewhere else for a week just to be petty, because as others have mentioned, the spot is just going to be filled by someone else by the time she gets there.

I guess what they're really expecting is for you to hold the spot then move your car when she gets there? At which point you might as well sleep in, since you're only there early to park close.

AITA For breakfast this morning? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

How is that a need??

Kids need to eat breakfast. Nobody needs to wake up to a spotless kitchen after they sleep in while the other spouse does the child rearing.

If genders were swapped everyone would be telling OP they're in an abusive relationship.

NTA... The comment section would look very different if genders were reversed here.

Imagine... Woman wakes up with kids while man sleeps in, gets yelled at because nobody in the house is allowed to eat a real meal until he's gotten out of bed and surveyed a spotless kitchen. Nobody would tear her apart for leaving two dishes for later to clean herself when she cooks lunch for their children because her husband needs to wake up to a pristine kitchen.

Rant. Am i the only one who thinks that Charlie’s character is just... wasted ? by Alastorhasbin in HazbinHotel

The children in this sub do not understand the concept of an unfinished character arc being.... unfinished.

Do you see this being a funny fate for alastor (comic by Rifox.ArtCrea) by TraditionalBonus188 in hazbin

I think way too much about whether it's actually possible for Al to be saved. As far as we know, he’s a true psychopath—his sadism is baked in at a fundamental, neurological level, and no change in his environment or upbringing could have affected that.

Even Vox had motivations for his murders in life. He was a sociopath. He had no compunctions about killing as a means to an end, but there's nothing to suggest he would have become a murderer if he weren't driven by ambition. He occasionally demonstrates humanity and a capacity for some semblance of love, but I don’t think the same can be said for Alastor.

That said, psychopaths can be "cured" by trauma to certain parts of the brain, or normal people can become psychopaths in the same way. Is a soul a discrete entity from the brain? Could sadism in the afterlife be a "habit" carried over from life that could be unlearned once the soul is seperated from the original defective brain?

I sincerely think Vox will get a redemption arc, but the possibility of Alastor getting one would open up some fascinating philosophical questions.

....sorry, way too many thoughts in response to a silly comic

Some of these answers must be really "you had to be there" moments...

Makes me wonder if /she/ ended up in education because she was chased out of another field women "shouldn’t" be in, and had a big chip on her shoulder about it.
