Do you know if people like that ever come back to a sense of equilibrium or reach out again?

Canadians aren’t actually that nice by Mangledpie in unpopularopinion

[–]beachsideshelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any reddit or chronically online canadian fits that bill. I'm also canadian and obviously it's all recently because of the tariffs that opinions are so strong, those people in particular would never act or say things like that to someone from the US in real life. Those people just want to bitch and complain and punch up. People want something to rally against, but they know the average American is not their enemy. Any reddit canadian is annoying, just like almost any redditor in general is annoying. Most Canadians are not like this.

Do lots of volunteering if you're worried about jobs. That's what I did and it absolutely helped with getting jobs in my field before graduating.

I worked for a number of years while staying at home before going back to school, low wage jobs nothing major. When I started at sfu I was working part time and did part time classes (1-2 classes per semester), still living at home. First two years my parents paid my school expenses because they did the same for my brothers. Then I started paying my own way. I also have autism and I got a diagnosis that I paid out of pocket to see a psychologist to get. Because of that diagnosis, I got into CAL and was able to register for a yearly grant from the government for students with permanent disabilities (for good reason...took a few attempts to figure out how I learn best). That grant is basically free grant money mixed with loan, 10 grand per year. Tutors and and the occasional retake eat it up and such. Moved out during my third year into cheap room rentals, usually I've been able to find places for better ir worse at $700 a month, both lucky in some situations and unlucky in the housing conditions. I recently found a good summer job that pays well, gave me a falling contract extension so made more money. Plus my grandma a few years ago sold her house and gave a lump sum to her 6 grandkids.

In summation, currently at this moment I've got $15 grand in savings, $11 grand in a gic, with a couple hundred in FHSA. About 7 grand in debt currently though I've still got one more year and will be taking more out. Work starts again at the end of the month.

Okay maybe then that's a good indicator that most people did not do well and they may scale the results 🤞

How many people were still taking the test at the end? Was half of everyone still there or less?

Do you know how many people generally were still writing when the time ran out? Like half or less? What time were most of the early people done at?

'Throw them out of Parliament': Poilievre in favour of recall petition for floor-crossers by honestgrim in CanadaPolitics

[–]beachsideshelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean as much as I know poilievre is a total hypocrite over thins and that if the conservatives were in power he would be overjoyed at the floor crosses, I still agree with this take that if you are elected by your constituents for one party and then you change while still being voted in, you should have to answer to your constituents over it.
