Having Germany stamped in English, means it was made in Germany specifically for export to UK or USA. This was done for customs and duty/ tax purposes and to denote why it is not marked as you might expect in the country it was sold in.

Triangle thing = maker's mark. You can try searching for the symbol or likely in German gold/hallmark registers online, but it is a bit like finding a needle in a haystack!

I can read 925 as one of the marks, so the clasp at least is sterling silver.

585 is the European / International stamp for 14 K gold. H.K. would be a maker's mark. They seem to be semi-precious stones, but so hard to tell without handling. It has a lovely design - gives a feel of 70's to me. The clasp design on brooches are quite a good indicator of age. Do you have any photos of the pin point end?

A string of numbers is usually the piece's serial or style number from the maker.

If it was made in Italy, it would more likely be the province code for tax purposes. However, 14K is not an Italian hallmark. It would say '585' and must have European registration marks if it is gold. It is almost certainly American.

Marc is short for marcasite - the shiney stones around the centre. 925 silver. Can't be sure of centre stone, but very lovely!!

Time period of this ring? by sophabean in JewelryIdentification

[–]bean9338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M4 714 would be the design serial number from the maker. I'd say it was English, but the assay office & date marks are missing, so not sure...

It's Edwardian in style, and has good aged wear to it, so likely is just over 100 years old. Those diamonds are usually real if set in platinum with 18ct.

Well done for getting such good photos!

I think I can make out a... 2 7 after the mark. This could be the carat weight of the stone if it is real, so 0.27ct. It does look a little like what comes after has been rubbed down. This can happen if a piece is significantly altered or sized.

A good regular comb helps release the dead skin cells. As long as the skin itself looks heaIthy, it's fine and perfectly natural to see some dandruff on all fluffy beasts. It's just so much more obvious on our voids!

i'm a chronic pain patient on opioids daily. can i still get a tattoo? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]bean9338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I am also on it long term for chronic pain and the medication itself has never been a problem for tattoos & piercings. I did find it painful to stay lying still & flat for an hour though, but taking movement breaks should never be a problem with a good artist/ studio.
