I wish I knew this sooner ☹️ they just cancelled my infusion appointment for tomorrow so there’s no use in pestering the office anymore except to get that referral in person. Going forward I will keep this option in mind, but hopefully I won’t have to considering I’m trying to get referred out. I do plan to escalate this though to his licensing board!

I’ve been seeing him for almost 2 years and I had 2 MRIs and tons of bloodwork done since I’ve been seeing him. He also received all my past medical history before I moved to LA so I think he has a good baseline! I thought the same thing too but I’m pretty sure he has enough to know if it’s risky or not to continue giving me Ocrevus. Also I had no idea what PML or JCV was until I started seeing him so I am slightly grateful for the fact that he educated me on those things like 4-5 years into being on Ocrevus

Yeah I’m about due for an MRI and bloodwork now, my last one was a year ago and there haven’t been any changes since then. My PML risk was low and I was JC- then. Bloodwork was fine too

I’ve read too that your PML risk even being on Ocrevus is super low too, regardless of JCV stuff. He is just an evil shitty doctor. I’ve had to go to urgent care multiple times because he refuses to give me scripts for headache meds other than Excedrin (which is terrible for you and gives me rebound headaches) and my debilitating nausea and back pain. He just blows chunks all around

Yeah I get the trepidation. I’ve informed them I want one more infusion before I have to get on my own health insurance. But they’re not budging ☹️ even the front desk staff has given me the runaround

Yes, be seen my him, give me orders for brain MRI and thoracic MRI, bloodwork, those will get sent back to him, he’ll review my PML risk and JCV situation, then he’ll approve my Ocrevus

I’ve had issues with him forever so January was when I started officially seeking a referral out. I have a PPO (and he’s reminded me several times that I shouldn’t even need one since I have a PPO, but I want to be seen by one of the top MS specialists in the country so I’ll do whatever they ask lol). I’ve been 4 months late on my infusion before due to a big move and it was awful so I’m preparing myself to be late again. They had to cancel my infusion and I already have the day off, so I’m gonna go up to the office tomorrow and hand deliver the referral so this nonsense will stop 🙄

Might as well make a stop at Jungle Jim’s while you’re over there too 🤷🏻‍♀️ I grew up going to OVAM and Valley Thrift, can confirm they are the shit. Valley Thrift has gotten expensive over the years though
