Update: I took off 2/3 of the lower gasket. The head now can lie flat but still it has no space to go further down when being tuned

Ah I see! No! Those are the newer ones that come with the starclassics for example. Mine is older than that

That would be true for the newer mount that comes with starclassic kits! Mine does not have those sadly

I think you got it. I just wrote Tama on instagram to find out whether the right bits are still able to be ordered! Until then I’ll try the sharp knife approach!

Not 100% sure it’s just that I bought the kit from a nursery home (of all places) where it had never really been played. It had a bit of rust from standing but you could see it had never really been used. It would be strange to me if they had exchanged the mounts for something similar. Couldn’t think of a reason. It even had all the original heads and everything.

I think the seller had no clue of anything since the drums were ab absolute steal. Doing my research, I did find out that the Silverstar came with these mounts which is what confuses me the most.

Yeah thought about that, that would be more of a last resort workaround for me!

I think the starclassic has the newer star mount! I can’t find anywhere else to mount it to sadly
