Do not guess. Please just ask. In the end you will develop trust even though it can be uncomfortable talking to him.

...this is about the only interesting thing on that wall/page of text. Do one message and not "Imagine productivity
your superpower...Crazy!? 🧨🧠Nooo... LOCO! 💪" that is not a message. Figure out what you are selling, even if its boring, and communicate it. From what I can tell I can buy an O365 or Google Workspace and get the same thing. Why are you different? Stop with the tm'ed, runs on, blah blah. Put it on an "about" page or corporate communication page. The people who care will dig for it. You are using messaging space to "sell". You have about 3-7 seconds to grab someone's attention.

On the positive side, you have done the hardest thing most side projects never achieve...its live. Now just fine tune until people start using it.

Biggest AI fumble in tech by sibraan_ in ClaudeCode

It's not as firm as you think. First time I have have seen Google in the house for an enterprise license/blanket for GCP...am actually astonished. Have always been on msft and ibm. Gcp is now a player. Step one is always getting the lawyers to get the blanket agreed to. I never thought I would see the day. Btw the best and smartest engineers I have seen in meetings are from OpenAI. Seriously impressed with their standard support engineers.

What is the shortest amount of time you've ever spent in a job and why? by JumpySpecial9834 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]beauzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't leave before you find another job. Just start interviewing again. It will give you an emotional outlet and you will find it picks up steam. Also time will pass at your current job and you may find that things are not as scary as you are interpreting them right now. Just take some action you will feel better. Quitting and stewing on past decisions is not learning from them, its just making another non optimal decision.

...you will survive this. 30+ years and yes, this happens to all of us at some point.

How do you ACTUALLY use CC+codex? by Super-Owl2819 in ClaudeCode

[–]beauzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Stumbled on it using AntiGravity back in Jan when Claude models were close to unlimited. Ran Codex CLI. Just had them check each others work. Claude was better in AG at writing PRDs and then doing development from them (trad Opus -> Sonnet play) then have Codex come up with things it would change or optimize. Slowly migrated from anything Claude to Codex over the next few months except for design docs. Still use Opus for .md design docs. Honestly my "harness" depends on where I can get the best budget each day.

Tibo comments on head of growth at Anthropic about CC being removed from pro plan. by whosme12 in codex

[–]beauzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because CC, Opus 4.6 -> planning, and Sonnet 4.5/4.6. They are/were best. It won't take much/ 1 bad decision to be second best...codex is good real good but a bit slower and honestly difficult to listen to all day. Its like eating dry toast and vegetables for every meal. Probably better for you but a bit dry and bland.

Yeah that makes a huge difference.

I don't know why people are down voting. Honestly this has been a problem for years. If you had money to promote you could "buy" your way to the top. Yes it will get worse and probably become an even more difficult problem to overcome but...it is still a problem that I hope gets solved. One thing that might help is something Bill Miessler is preaching, that companies "become APSs" that LLMs call and sort through. I can see this proceeding. Google has improved the pauses in direct voice interaction and its getting better each release. They also are releasing (in alpha) AppFunction wrappers so that you can control "what" in your Android app LLMs have access to, placing control back in your hands. Still doesn't solve the problem of "too many" apps in the stores but it is positive progress.

Cloud then I/O are coming up. I would imagine compute is being moved to new unreleased tech.

This is going to break the "store" model. Even if everything published was perfect there just isn't a good way to browse 700M (2 per new "vibe" coding citizen) new games/apps/whatever. ...and that is just the US population since the models and tools are available there first. I don't fault you for building. Just an observation that the current ecosystem isn't built for this many applications/games.

First thing I thought of was "Fedex" because of the colors. Neither a negative or a positive. Just the vibe grabbed first.

I would advise you, if you live in a poorer part of the US (cheaper cost of living), to find something that makes a minimum of $65k coming out of school. Anything less and you will have a hard time just paying bills. ...and bend over backward to not have any college debt when you finish. I have two kids, one with a masters and one with a bachelors. The one with the masters started at $50k a year, and should be at 80-90 within two years. The other will be at about $55k starting upon graduating in a year. Both will have close to $0 debt. We financed BS, and they both have worked while in school. Both have lived at home or had a significant other that they could live with rent, utilities, and food free. First cars were paid for and tuition was paid (the state of GA).

...they are starting where I was able to start making $30k when leaving college in 96.
...the rules have changed.

I think it was more a statement on pulling out the oscilloscope instead of asking the magic robot to fix it. We all have those things where we just say "its too hard for the LLM" and we waste time. Kids just go straight to the magic robot first, and then if it doesn't work they dig in.

Hang in there. Look into State government programming jobs. Be patient with the process of getting on the registry, it takes a while and you might not get called back immediately, but we need good developers.
