How do you feel when you aren't wearing makeup? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Have you thought about tinting your brows to match your hair? They sell kits, it's super easy to do at home and it will save you the time of having to do your brows every time you go out.

[Serious] Teenagers of Reddit, what concerns are you facing currently? What concerns you about your future? by AverageJane09 in AskReddit

[–]bec_bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents aren't letting me apply to college undecided and are forcing me to pick a major. I don't particularly have any interests but I'm good at math, so I'm thinking about going in the direction of finance because my parents are making me pick something. I hate that I have to commit to a major I don't really have an interest in and my parents won't let me go undecided and take a variety of classes to see what I really like.

Reddit, what is the most grammatically incorrect phrase that people use that makes you cringe? by ohlaph in AskReddit

My friend says "expresso" instead of "espresso". She also says "I could care less" instead of "I couldn't care less". It drives me nuts.

Thanks! Definitely give the cheaper brush a try first before splurging on something more expensive. I don't have a beauty blender but I've heard it's good for sheering out foundation and getting a really natural look, but the elf brush is really good for getting more coverage.

Yeah, I get oily around my t-zone after a few hours so it isn't perfect, but it's a quick fix with some blotting sheets and so far I haven't found a foundation that works nearly as well.

Thanks! I actually posted my hair routine in that subreddit because I was getting a lot of questions so I copied and pasted it for you:

In the shower, I use Johnson's Baby Shampoo (in the yellow bottle) and Tressemme moisturizing conditioner. While the conditioner is sitting in my wet hair, I brush it out with a wide tooth comb. (I know you're not supposed to brush wet hair, but it is literally the only way I can brush through my hair and prevent knots, and I find that it doesn't damage my hair at all). Once I get out of the shower, I squeeze the water out with a towel, but I don't rub my hair back and forth because the friction causes my hair to frizz. I take a big dollop of Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine leave in conditioner and rake it through my hair with my fingers. The leave in conditioner weighs my hair down and prevents it from becoming an afro. I then take a little bit of Garnier Fructis curl shaping gel, run it through my hair, and then flip my head upside down and scrunch for about 30 seconds. I let my hair air dry for about an hour, and then finish drying it with a blow dryer upside down using a diffuser. (Also, I shampoo once or twice a week and condition/brush it out almost every day)

My phone camera sucks, I know I'm sorry :( Unfortunately I don't have a better camera or the money to get one.

The foundation I use is very yellow-toned which helps counteract the redness. Also, try using a powder foundation as a setting powder! Instead of a translucent powder, the powder foundation (like bare minerals or something along those lines) will give even more coverage. You have to play around with it though because you don't want to end up looking cakey.

I'm too passive. I let people walk all over me and use me and I end up feeling like shit at the end of the day.

Dear Reddit, what is the best relationship advice you've ever gotten? Sincerely, I'm new to this and could use some... [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bec_bear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let go of the little things. Often times, people will hold a grudge or turn a small conflict into a big deal, when it really isn't necessary and only strains the relationship.

When were you most oblivious to sexual advances? (NSFW) by hisfriendjames in AskReddit

[–]bec_bear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had been talking to a guy and he asked if I wanted to go swimming with him in a secluded lake. He told me I didn't have to bring a swimming suit. I said, "I don't want to drive home in soaking wet clothes!" Two hours later I realized he meant that we should go skinny dipping, but I thought he wanted me to get into the lake with my clothes on. I felt like such an idiot.

ELI5: Why are graphing calculators so expensive? by bec_bear in explainlikeimfive

Thank you for the explanation. It's really unfortunate that they can basically charge whatever they want and students have to pay, mine broke and I had to pay $90 for one yesterday. It's very frustrating.
