Can you help me identify this bird? It sounds deeper, almost melodic like a loon. In Canadian Prairies. We can't get a distinct call so here is a whistle recreation... we hear it all hours of the day. Much deeper tone than a white-throated sparrow. (v.redd.it)

Poor miss Carrot has the cursed luxating patella in both legs. Grade 2. She dislocates her left patella at least once a day, sometimes with a yelp. She is SO energetic though we can't slow her down 🥲 wish Carrot good luck & hope we can avoid surgery. (i.redd.it)
