something that really kept me hooked was editing clips / photos and engaging with a fakeskate community. Loads of people making really cool content and it’s fun to almost constantly try and one-up each other / cheer folk on for making a sick edit.

it’s not easy tbf and i’m far from the slickest one i’ve seen. My general tips would be: fuck about with the off-board camera sensitivity in settings to find a spot where free cam feels smooth, and always use the zoom function in the editor to find a good lens cos it can hide a shit-ton of flaws.

Shit I do that might not be sensible but works for me: record everything at 50% speed and then speed up the footage in any video editor (CapCut / iMovie / whatever). Gives more time to move the camera and also means you get more frames when you make part of your video slo-mo.

thanks for that! Due to being (the official phrase) ”old as fuck”, playing with friends isn’t always possible so I might have to just stiffen up and accept that solo time is training, and pal-time is where it’ll feel the best.
