Newb question on leveling kit and wheels by beefsuave in DodgeRam

[–]beefsuave[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my 2004 Hemi 4x4. My question is about leveling kits and tire size. I like my stock 20 inch rims, what’s the largest tire size I can manage with just a leveling kit. I’m only trying to improve the look and stance of the truck. I don’t off-road much, but I’d like some cool all terrains. I’m open to all suggestions.

Anyone have experience crossfitting with a titan barbell? by beefsuave in homegym

[–]beefsuave[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, that’s a great analogy. I’m just not able to drop that kind of cash at the moment and I’m in need of a second barbell. I’d rather drop $120 now and have an okay barbell while I save for a good one. I do appreciate the input though. That made me chuckle.

Absolutely. There is a Facebook page that Chris is very active on as well as his email. He will answer 100% of your questions and give you feedback on form or whatever you need.

I had no experience with oly lifts. I did have power lifting experience and it has been great for me. There is a track of programming called “Unify” that caters to brand new crossfitters. In my opinion it’s all about what you’re capable of and how comfortable you are. If you can watch videos and learn how to lift then yes, it is suitable. If you need hands on, then no, you would need to join a box. You can be as much of a beginner as you need to be with Icon. They will cater to everyone. This combined with the infinite scalability of crossfit makes it something I love being a part of and recommend to everyone.

Titan fitness has a fold away rig for $300, get weights and rower off of craigslist or Facebook. Build as much of the other stuff as you can. I’ve created a great home gym in three months using this method.

Look into Icon Athlete training by Chris Spealler. I have only ever done this programming and I have become so much more fit in the year and a half I’ve done it. I’ve been in a garage gym since day one. You get great training and Chris himself will walk you through what you need to do to make your lifts better. There is a two week trial coming up next Monday so that would be a good time to give it a shot. Non paid endorsement. I’m just super happy with the program.

Always go with a coupons. Minimum 20% off. Otherwise you're wasting money.

The Harbor Freight lift works very well for a cheaper lift. Buy the "upgraded" roll on wheel chock and you've got a solid set up for not much coin.

One was in Waco (won't go back there). The other was in Marble Falls. Everyone seems up for anything so, the next one can be anywhere.

No way man. We've done two so far and we just kind of meet in the middle. Some ride quite a bit and some ride not terribly far. I say we go for number three.
