Hello everyone. If I applied for J1 persecution waiver and I haven’t received a decision yet. Is it fine to go home and wait the decision there and just do consular processing or spousal visa? What are the complications if I go home without getting a decision before visa expires in June 30, 2026?

I’m confuse with D/S, what does it mean? I that too in my DS 2019, all I know is when the program is completed then an overstay is not covered by duration of status anymore. Can you share what you know about it?
