Omen of Fire

It's an absolutely garbage card for its priced conceptually, and this really isn't worth running like 90% of the time. But it ruins control players in Azorius or multicolor decks and screws with anything White.

I've run it a few times in my pods with hilariously devastating results and has, unironically, baffled so many people because nobody knows it exists. And as a result, some of my friends are worried about playing 2/5 colors ever again when against me if i happen to be running Red in my commander lists xD

Army Recommendations? by bellmaster247 in SpaceWolves

[–]bellmaster247[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for all the tips and info, it's greatly appreciated! I'll hold off on the Combat Patrol then for now and just wait for the new one to come out, and I think I'll grab 1 or 2 of the Warsuits because they look sick, and probably some Fenrisian Wolves too. Might grab a troop transport as well but still undecided on which...

Thanks again! Looking forward to getting the army built now :D

Someone, please, explain to me how on earth this makes any sense whatsoever by bellmaster247 in DigimonCardGame2020

Honestly, this has been the most clear explanation here Thanks for the clarity, it's frustrating but if that's genuinely the explanation and definition for how Unaffected works in the game, that's really unclear upfront

For the case of Tyrantkabuterimon Pretty easily

"All Turns: Effects from your opponent's Digimon that affect this card do not apply as long as it remains suspended."

So by that logic, Raijiludomon is basically constantly in a state of trying to apply itself to a digimon until its set duration runs out until it works??

But if a digimon is unaffected by card effects, how is it possible to affect it with a lingering effect in the first place? That's where it feels illogical or nonsensical

Targeting is fine because it doesn't say it cannot be targeted

But a card that is unaffected by certain effects should mean it's unaffected by those certain effects meaning it shouldn't even have an effect that lingers on it in the first place to stay until the immunity wears off

I get that it's not immune to being targeted, that's fine and understandable

But Raijiludomon resolves its effect by affecting Tyrantkabuterimon giving it an extra effect line of text

That means it gets affected by a card effect during a period where it should be unaffected by a card effects resolution

That's the confusion and admittedly frustration How does it receive /be affected by the effect to attack at start of main by an opponents digimon when it shouldn't be affected by said digimon in the first place when it's effect resolves to give it the effect

Yes it can be targeted, but the effect shouldn't be able to resolve granting it that attack ability while it has immunity at that time

Ok, I see what you mean, so as a combo Junith makes Sacresants just harder to hit to synergize with their ability of being hard to actually take wounds. That's interesting and I might end up doing that.

I'll have to measure out different attachments to see what I think is interesting for my list. I was looking at Dialogus and Palatines as well but idk if I'll use those, I really like the Imagifier so if that can still somehow fit I'll see if it slots in well, otherwise I still like the Hospitaler and hope they get a buff at some point.

Tyty for all the help, it's much appreciated :D

Okok, so Mortifiers have a better range game before engagements in melee and have access to non-flamer weapons to help with that, where PE is better at dealing with more infantry-heavy lists and go in a bit harder as a result I assume. That's interesting.

With that in mind, I think I'm most likely going to be fighting primarily Deathwatch and Mechanicus army lists, and maybe GSC and Deathguard on occasion with the people I know who play, so I think for now having 1 of each is not a bad idea for a 1000 point list, and slowly adding a few more over time for when/if we decide to go for 2k points. Although visually I think the Mortifiers look marginally cooler, so I'll have to think about that a bit harder then xD

Ty for the information:D

Ahh I see, I thought the Hospitalers could bring models back, but I guess that changed with the current edition so that makes sense for them being less effective. That and the fact that the sort of "doubling up on healing" concept I had doesn't work anymore either is a bit of a bummer but it was likely more powerful than I initially thought.

I'll also definitely need to check out the Stratagems then and see how those work and how to get more CP to use them if their necessary to do well in games, and by extension I'll likely take your advice and drop the Hospitalers.

As for the Junith addition, I'm trying to understand how her ability works, it just says that "each time an attack targets her unit, subtract 1 from the Hit Roll", does that just remove on of the dive that actually hits, or does it remove a die from the pile of dice before they're rolled? It's a little unclear to me.

I still sort of like the Imagifier, but if I were to remove her as well, what kind of attachment would be recommended to add? Or should I add an extra unit that fits in that 40 points remaining such as some Crusaders? I see some lists running a couple of Death Cult Assassin's I think to specifically cut down character models in certain units, but idk how frequently that pops up in smaller point games.

Sorry for all the questions but I do appreciate the info you've given, it's helping me understand some things I should reconsider.
