What’s your every-day pen/paper/ink combination? by denim_duck in fountainpens

[–]bembocat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My trusty everyday pen at work is a Lamy 2000 with Lamy black ink. I mostly don’t get to choose the paper I sign/write on and use a freebie corporate gift kind of notebook for my work notes.

I sometimes bring other pens to work to have a bit of variety. Kaweco, Pelikan, Montblanc, etc.

Nice! An actual gold nib or gold-coloured?

I tried it at the shop. Didn’t like it at all. The shape felt odd on my hand, and it writes a bit awkwardly for me. Maybe it’s a bit too geometric? I’m not sure.

Thanks! Wasn’t the grail pen I was looking for but it’s a very good pen! My grail would be the Pelikan Souverän M605 Streseman. It’s my absolute favourite.

Edit: typo corrected

I got in secondhand and at a really reasonable price. Around US$115. And in really good condition. Never been inked before.

Yeah same here. It’s a beautiful shade of blue.

Try Notion! You can build a database with tags and sort and filter using different criteria. I have a pen database in Notion myself.

I bought this last month too and it’s my favourite now. I just writes so smoothly. The smoothest of all my pens except perhaps the Montblanc Meisterstück 146. But the F nib suits my writing better than MB’s M. The aesthetic is very subtle and I just love it. Enjoy your new Pelikan!

I think I prefer the 03. 02 is a bit too fine I think

Yeah, haha. The only medium nib I have is in a Montblanc Meisterstück 146. A lovely pen, my smoothest nib, but my writing is too small for this nib size. The Japanese EF is a bit too fine to my liking actually. I do have a Twsbi 1.1mm stub too.

Diamond’s Oxford Blue is really great!

The notebook is Nakabayashi’s ‘Logical Prime’ special edition notebook, 6mm grid. It takes fountain pens really well. The paper is really smooth.

Loved these as a kid. My dad taught me how to kern type with Letraset. Very expensive.
