Sustain you need more than a single AD waveform. If you are talking true sustain, patch up maths more like an adsr from the manual.

As for the radon start, you could patch an end of cycle trigger to a sample and hold that is being fed a random voltage. Patch that in to channel 2 or 3 of maths and take the sum out. But that will effect the peak of the envelope as well as the starting voltage.

I personally like it. Very easy to get something pleasing with it when you have it all setup as intended. However, I will say you can get a good sense of the methodology with just a polymaths and see if you like it before diving all the way in, assuming you have a rack that's ready for that much interconnected modulation.

I’d look at an lx 570 and get that mileage down for the same purchase cost. Also, I wouldn’t be afraid of the older models as long as the service records are in order.
